Not as useful as I had hoped. If you can use the old Rose -Ines or similar radical based dictionary you may well find it quicker.Will need some practice to get the most out of this book .

Useful and the layout is very clear! I normally use the dictionary on my phone, but I need a physical Kanji dictionary for my exams, so this is quite handy for me.

I love that you can look up a character those times you have no idea of it's meaning.

If you've got to the stage of thinking of buying a Kanji dictionary, try this first. It will save your eyesight, as well as many hours of frustration.It will direct you to the basic meaning, and the On and kun readings, of all the Kanji you need.If you eventually feel you need a dictionary, you will be able to make a better choice several years down the line, having saved yourself a lot of money.

I also own the Chinese Character Fast Finder and a different edition of the Kanji Fast Finder.Kanji Fast Finder "does what it says on the can".

Trying to learn Japanese on my own and this is a great tool to start with. Would recommend it to anyone.
