Weruva Senior Cat Food, Tuna and Salmon in Gravy, 3oz Can, Pack of 12

My seventeen-year-old cat has had Kidney Disease for a few years, however with special veterinary prescription food she is managing and maintaining her status. Unfortunately, the medicinal food just doesn't taste all that great apparently. I try to supplement with tasty foods or treats to get her to eat. This Weruva Senior Cat Food, Tuna and Salmon in Gravy must be delicious! She devours her food when this gravy is added. I bought one can as an experiment from a pet store was thrilled to find these twelve packs on Amazon. Yay!

The two senior kitties (19 and 21 yo) didn't like this flavor, but they do love the Weruva Kitten, Tuna & Salmon Formula in a Hydrating Purée 3oz Can. The texture and gravy look good but apparently the flavor wasn't what my kids prefer. We have seven cats and nobody loved this flavor, not even the cat that was lost and experienced food insecurity before he found a new home with us. All of the Weruva cans that we have tried are too heavy and a waste of planetary resources. I knocked off a star for the can weight. We have several brands of senior and kitten food that we are trying on our seniors and they have normal easy open lighter weight cans. Waruve could save us some money if they used that type.

I'm sure it is good because my feral cat loves it. However, my indoor cats prefer a cheaper brand. (Eye roll.) If I were a cat, I'd say it smells good, but since I'm not, I won't eat it therefore, I can't review the texture nor taste. I'm sure it is healthier than the cheap "fancy " brand my indoor cats like. As far as value for the money, it is not the most expensive brand I have purchased in order to get my cats to eat better food. :)

Got this for my senior cat who has now passed. This should be easier on their kidneys and such... I wasnt a huge fan of the texture of the sauce, which is likely due to the potato ingredients... My senior liked it at first, but then the shreds were too much for his teeth...

Always yummy for elder cats.

My girl has been experiencing a problem with food passing right through her, so I researched, and Amazon recommended this as the best option. Guess what, it's horrible. I opened the can, excited because it was mostly gravy, which is all she eats of any canned food, and then I smelled it, yuck!! Smells like a tin can. I thought, ok, just because I think it stinks, maybe my girl will like it, Ha. She sniffed once, and it ended up on her plate untouched until I threw it out this morning, sigh. The company really needs to update its cans; it ruined what might have been a good product. Now I'm stuck with junk even the strays won't touch.

My cat loves the gravey. I like the nutrious formula with salmon and tuna! The pieces of salmon are a good size. The food smells like fish. He digests it well. I feel that it is of good quality:) this food is definitely my cat's favorite!

I'm leaving 3 stars in hopes they allow me to return all the other cans. My 11 year old cat won't touch it. She smelled it, and althought she made a good attempt, she shook her whole tail and walked away. She came back later to smell it, and again walked right away. She's not impressed. I wasn't sure what she'd do with it. It's very soupy.
