The aroma is too sharp, very chemical smelling as well as tasting* This is what I didn't want hence why I chose the Natural flavourings only with ethanol carrier.. and quite expensive for one bottle too. But next day delivery to be fair Unfortunately, it provides a stale-parma violet scent, much too perfumed for my liking none of the subtle sweet notes I expected for violet (tested when mixing with sugar/sweet beverages) Shame

I used this to flavour both vegan buttercream and vegan *chocolate* buttercream. I needed quite a lot to get some flavour, although perhaps I’m being unfair as I had ‘Covid tongue’ at the time. But those eating the cakes also said they couldn’t detect much of the passion fruit flavour... I think this is better suited to flavouring items whose integrity isn’t compromised by the addition of liquid, as is buttercream. I added some to my vegan passion fruit curd and it enhanced the natural flavour. Would but again but not for its original purpose (buttercream)

It is true to its word .... Use it by the drop! Honestly u read these packages and more often than not end up using nearly half a bittle to get a hint of flavour, but not with this!!! Only needed a couple of drops to achieve a LOVELY passion fruit flavour. Anyone that left a review saying it doesn't taste like passionfruit has no taste buds! At 1st seems pricey, but it is worth it when you do indeed only need a couple of drops! Now to buy some more flavours!
