Lone Wolf Easy Hang Hook & Strap

As others have said in their reviews, this thing makes hanging a stand super easy....in a nice straight tree. I just started using a LW Assault this year, and I bought this along with the stand at the same time. A couple of weeks ago as I was taking down my set, the metal hook itself slipped off the strap and fell into the tall brush below...in the dark. I searched for like 30 minutes and never could find it. So I put the offset bracket back on my stand and have hung the stand the "traditional" way the past few hunts, which turned out to be every bit as easy as using the EZ Hang hook...AND allows for more versatility in less than perfectly straight trees.I give it 4 stars because it really does work and makes hanging the stand super easy. It's just not a must have for me, and I feel like LW should just include the hook itself with all of their hang on stands. I doubt I will ever buy a replacement hook. If you do feel like you absolutely need on of these though, I'd recommend just buying the hook only from LW directly. No need to spend $8-10 more for the strap as well, when it's just the same as the straps that come with the stand.

I use this a little different than most. I take a piece of paracord and make a loop about 8 inches in length. I tie this loop to my batwing bracket on the stand. When I get to the top of my sticks I put this ez hook on the tree. Then I take that loop from my stand bracket and put it on this hook.. Now I am hands free and don't have to hold the weight of the stand while I strap it down. After securing the stand with both straps I loosen the ez hook and slide it up the tree and hang my quiver, binos, or grunt call from it.. Makes it alot easier in the dark or even daylight to hang your stand!

Just use to hang stand on while put strap around tree. Then take it off. Works great on straight trees. But if anything with slight angle throws it off. But leave it a little loose hang your stand on it. Put your strap around tree and pull it tight. Slide the hook out and off and then cam your stand down. Then use this hook for your bag or Bino or whatever.

Make hanging your tree stand faster and safer. This is my first year hunting in a tree stand even though I have been hunting for over 30 years. I hung my Lone Wolf stand and my hunting partners steel stand that was 10 lbs. heavier and did not utilize an easy hang hook type system. The difference was night and day in terms of convenience, speed and safety. I utilized the Lone Wolf Hook and Strap along with the two straps that came with the stand and it is Rock solid and easy to install. Great purchase I highly recommend this product.

Yes, you can use this WITH the offset (batwing) bracket, with a small modification.Tie a small loop of paracord through the batwing bracket and hang the loop on the ez hang, this way you can easily strap it to the tree with both hands instead of holding the stand. When stand is strapped, unhook the loop and slide the ez hang to the side so you can hang a pack from it or take it off the tree.

The hook is slightly wider than I would like it to be, as it takes a bit of maneuvering to get the stand to hook on to the strap, but, it does work well once you get it hooked.

It works exactly as it should, though I am not sure when I will use it. The stand "Lone Wolf Assault" is so incredibly light I easily hold it to the tree and secure it with the straps that come with the stand. I keep it in my pack in the event I need it, but so far I have not, and I certainly wouldn't hang one on every tree and leave them. If anyone was getting up there in years or had a disability of some sort this would be a god send. Wear your safety harness, and use that linemens belt.
