Ideal for simmer pots.
If star anise were hiding from me on purpose, it would make sense. I can never find enough of it in the store, and when I do, it’s usually a sad little jar with three lonely stars rattling around. This pack solved that problem beautifully. The star anise arrived whole, fragrant, and gorgeous. Big, intact pieces with that warm, slightly sweet spice aroma that instantly feels cozy. I use them primarily for simmer pot bags, and they’re perfect for it. They hold their shape, look beautiful in the bags, and release just the right amount of scent without overpowering everything else. Really good deal here on fresh, good quality star anise. As soon as I opened the bag, the lovely aroma was strong, indicating freshness. Much better than other brands I've purchase online. Many of the pods are broken but I rarely use a whole one, so that's ok with me.

Smells and tastes so good. Great for simmer pots
This smells amazing! I did a simmer pot with this and vanilla, with citrus oranges, and the house smelled amazing. Also great in tea. Smells so good! Taste good with some honey.

Great flavor
Like having these whole spices around love that it they are whole and you can use them in candle making and trencher making or mix with other spices for hot drinks .
