Bags arrived and looked as described. Stitching seems good and the material feels like it will last quite awhile. I used about 7 1/2 lbs. of weighted plastic beads to fill both bags.

Good value. Easy to fill. Stitching seems adequate. (A larger strap would've been a great add as the item's weight (when filled) can be cumbersome to carry to the range.)

Having built a shooting bench, I was looking for an alternative to some large and often pricey shooting rests, primarily for rifles and shotguns. I bought this bag set, thinking I would just fill them with sand. Reading the various reviews and how people address the 'fill problem', I settled on ground walnut shells. I could have saved $4.00 if I had bought the Zilla walnut shells on Amazon but I was in a hurry so bought a 10 quart bag of the stuff (in the reptile area) of a local pet supply store , brought it home, snipped off a corner of the plastic bag and filled away. I have maybe one quarter of the bag left. Glad I did this in the garage because about three tablespoons of ground walnut shells got loose during the filling process but it all went smoothly. Another reason to fill outside is that there is a small amount of dust from this product but not a big deal, I probably only noticed because with the bag(s) on my work bench, my face was very close to this material as it poured into the bag(s). Now the shooting rest bags are ready to go and I think they are well constructed, and the velcro 'open it, close it, and fold it' fill arrangement works very well. I think the walnut shell fill is just about an ideal weight and density, I don't have concerns about rodent attacks, dust, or seepage, they are on a shelf in my 'gun stuff' closet here in the house (smell good too, almost a slight cedar scent). No idea what durability is going to be like long term but will find out soon, got a shotgun with a scope to be sighted and another with a red dot sight that needs zeroing.

Ok… There are just a few things you need to know before you purchase this item. I’ll give my full review following my bullet points. 1. The bags come empty. You must purchase your own filler. 2. Filling the smaller bag can be difficult depending on your choice of bead/bean/sand. 3. The bags are made of quality material. 4. It would be great if you could move the provided D clips to another part of the bag. They are not removable. Now for my review… I knew something was wrong when I received the package in the mail. The envelope it came in was very small and flat. To my disappointment, the bags were not prefilled. If you look closely in the items description, you can find where the seller says this. However, it is not in the bold, flashing red neon print that it should be. I read through multiple reviews and found someone that said they used aquarium gravel as filler. This is a logical choice being that substance is not organic and won’t rot like soy beans and unlike sand, is designed to be wet if they ever come into contact with water. The smaller of the two bags was difficult to fill. Despite the aquarium gravel being quite small, I still had to force them into the “legs” of the bag . This portion of the item is not completely open. Instead, there is a small hole on either side found on the inner portion of the main compartment. If you are using larger filler or filler that clumps together when pouring, you will probably have a similar result. The bags are made of what appears to be quality material. I have no real concerns regarding craftsmanship or quality control. I have already dropped them (accidentally) from a height greater than five feet and they did not shows signs of rupturing. There are two D clips that are attached to the larger of the two bags. It would be great if you could move them to another side of the bag. Unfortunately, they are sewn in place via a cordura attachment cannot be removed. Overall, I probably got exactly what I paid for. The bags are functional and of recommendable quality. Just be prepared to spend a few extra bucks on filler. If you go with aquarium gravel, this can be cheaply done. Cheers.

Order came in on time and packaging was decent. These come sewed and ready to be filled with your choice of filling. I Filled with cleaned sand first and they were too heavy in my opinion!! Thought of using dried beans or corn but decided on using rice which works great! I have to say that the hard plastic clip that holds the two bags together broke the second time I clipped them back together! I have used them several times now and they work extremely well for what they are! Only complaint would be the clips! I think they should have used metal instead of hard plastic for the hardware latching system! For the quality material minus the clips it is a great purchase! The clips were the reason for only 4 stars not for that it would have been 5!

Product received the next day. Filled bags with rice. Looks good and sturdy. Other reviews indicate they received 2 sets of bags, ( 2 front and 2 rear bags), as in photos. I received only 1 set.

Decent works good wish they would include stakes from them windy days.

Feels so cheap and scare to feel with sand. Also on the photo it supposed to be seamless stitching, not that bulky black overlaps. Not happy at all
