Samsung Galaxy A36 5G Smartphone 8GB 256GB Unlocked SIM-Free - Awesome White B+

I'm already a hardened Samsung mobile user so can confirm that their phones are very good and practically bulletproof. This purchase of the A36 is a secondary phone which I use for one of my other important mobile numbers. My primary phone, a Samsung A53 is truly excellent and still going strong -- no need to upgrade as yet (Android version 16). This newer-model A36 within the A3* range is easily as powerful as my more upmarket, older A53, clearly indicating the rate of progress where Samsung phones lower on the model scale are now at least as powerful as semi-recent more upmarket Samsung phones. A good sign. The phone is genuinely fast with a great screen and very long battery life. Normal use can easily see two days worth of battery ... maybe more for this new A36, depending on your usage. I only have one (frustrating!) complaint, however: no means of expanding the memory externally via a SD card! How bizarre! What were Samsung thinking??? If this was not my secondary phone, I would not have purchased it as, for my primary phone at least, I would emphatically demand external, SD memory for my music, etc. (obviously my primary A53 Samsung mobile has external memory expansion facilities). Let's trust that Samsung regain their senses and re-introduce external memory to their on-going future phones. Apart from the latter omission, this is a truly great phone ... buy with the usual Samsung confidence! It's a no-brainer. Note, this particular phone originates from Dubai, but this is not a problem at all. A WARNING: PLEASE BE AWARE, when first switching it on, the setup process will automatically begin as usual and, when it comes to language choice, do not rush it ... take your time as it automatically scrolls on a constant loop, requesting the user to choose their particular language. DON'T rush it ... wait for English to appear, choose this language and move on with the setting up. Choosing another language will create, ah, let's say, an interesting challenge going forward. It's a great phone and currently selling at a great price. No need at all to buy the latest A37 successor at a much higher price ... this A36 is more than fine & capable. Enjoy your new phone!

I purchased the 8Gb ram 256GB memory version. Very good Android smartphone for a decent price. Pros: Great value for the price. Easy set up, including copying apps and settings from my old phone. Samsung includes five major updates for their phones, so on day one, it updated to Android 16. Smooth, fast, and stable performance. Excellent battery life with a built-in optimiser. Excellent front and selfie cameras. Cons: NO SD CARD SLOT. This means the on board 8GB of Ram and 256GB of Memory is all you get. Thicker and heavier than other comparable non-Samsung Android 16 models. Very square edges, which makes finding a comfortable case a challenge. (I purchased a Poetic Guardian Case.) I am keeping an eye on the memory, and will use the Universal Android Debloater if I need to make room.

Did careful research prior to purchasing this phone and this was the phone most recommended for what I needed. Certainly a good choice. Very satisfied with its performance. Dislike the rigmarole on switching it on and off which is needlessly complex.

The description shows the phone as b+. This means it has been refurbished hence the low cost. But it doesn't tell you that in the description. I returned mine because it wouldn't charge correctl. Despite using multiple leads and adaptors, it would often not charge. Misleading advertising

Fijne telefoon, hoewel niet de allersnelste. Helaas redelijk veel bloatware. Nogal groot, dik en vooral zwaar. Het opladen zou snel zijn, maar vind ik nogal langzaam. Toezegging voor lange updates is prettig.
