right?? my first thought when they claim life-cycle. if they know that it will last that long, either they limited their productive capacity in the name of planned obsolecence OR the product is by definition a result of information from that amount of time prior. that is to say, either they designed this thing for 10 years and then finally released it, or they made it to last exactly 10 years, or theyre just blatantly lying even without the planned obsolecence piece. Nothing against the company, love the player hate the game, there's really no answer that makes this system make sense without ignorance. Truly, we live in a dystopia

So, there's a specific type of plastic inside that "helps break down smelly odors" - you don't need to know the specific substance the material is made of, they won't tell you. That's most likely part of the patent.

...I am thinking the same thing! However, if you buy a box of baking soda every month, this deodorizer pays for itself in less than 3 years. It's worth the try because only time will tell how effective it truly is.
