Yes, it worked beautifully, and yes, it was everything I thought I wanted. The only reason I'm giving it a 5-star review and not lower is because it was everything that I knew I wanted in the ENGLISH version. The 3DS is amazing, so I didn't want to give this a 1-star review and sully the reputation. If it weren't the Japanese import, I'd be over the moon (and wouldn't have sold it).

It's a really pretty system.~ I'd say it's more like a hot pink in person. (the picture on amazon gives it a tiny bit more of a purple tint, which imo isn't there.) You can't play 3ds games in English on this, but you can play DS games on this. (the region free-ness of regular DS games still sticks.) I've also bought two Japanese 3DS games, and they run well too. ahaha Mine came with an old enough version of the ds nintendo operating system, where if I wanted to, there would be a method of being able to trick the system into thinking it can play English Games. (I don't have any english ones so I haven't bothered trying.) After a year there's a small place near the open and closing joints, where the paint has semi worn off. I'm not sure why, I'm not rough with my system or drop it all the time or anything.

Bought it so I could play my japanese only games on it. I'm familiar with all the icons and with some help of online guides and translators I can enjoy playing my japanese only games on it. Was worth buying this so I could play region locked/japanese only games.

They included extra games I was very happy to receive the 3ds it is fully functional and definitely good value for money I will be buying from them again without a doubt
