Does the Primos 65815 tripod extend from 24" to 62" ?

Yes. I just used it on a hunt out in Wyoming for antelope. It was worth every penny. The camera mount adapter is also a really nice feature.

Can the optics/ accessory mount be purchased separately ?

Wouldn't be without one

I now have three of these. They work well for standing to shoot, sitting to shoot, or in a pop-up blind. The trigger adjustment gives you instantaneous changes in all the legs at once. The option to use the camera mount on top of this stick gives some other options for mounting other things such as rangefinders, optics, cameras, etc. But the camera mount gives no up-and-down flexibility, and you must adjust the leg length to get that done. It is light and easy to carry, or strap to the back of your back-pack.
