Great bike for small young ones first learning to ride
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Great bike for small young ones first learning to rideThis is the best balance bike out there for teaching young ones to ride. Specifically children under 3 years old. Here are the top things to look for (I have owned several balance bikes and even built my own years ago before the market had developed. What i learned:Light weigh and low seat height are critical. If the bike is too heavy it will intimidate a new rider. If the seat height is too tall the child wont feel confident. This bike has a VERY light frame and low seat height. Once a child has mastered walking and is learning to trot/run they will likely be tall enough to straddle this bike. (that isn't the case for many cheap balance bikes on the market)A close third aspect to highlight is that it is simple. Other balance bikes will sell you features such as brakes, bells, conversion from 3 to 2 wheel, steering locks etc. Dont be fooled. Your 2 - 4 year old doesnt need any of that. It only makes the bike heavier and complicates the situation. This bike makes learning to ride a breeze. The above features are why all the neighbor's kids when they come over prefer to ride the cruzee over their overbuilt flashy balance bikes. The cruzee just works! It is light and has excellent ergonomics. Some additional features i love about this bike:The pneumatic (air filled tires) provide much better traction than the foam tires on other bikes. This is great in wet conditions or on dirt paths. It also allows you to adjust pressure to provide a more comfortable ride.(here comes the bike nerd in me) The wheels have machined aluminum hubs with sealed cartridge bearings. Those who know what these are know why they are awesome for the rest of you, most wheels this size use steel hubs and spokes that are heavy, and the others who use plastic wheels have garbage rattling bearings. These wheels however are very light and are equiped with quality bearings. They coast for ages!Low profile hardware. (see my pictures) this prefents feet and ankls from getting scraped on the bolts as on other bikes.Great bike!

Easy to assemble, lightweight, and just a great buy overall!
A few things stand out about this bike, which we got for our 4 year old and 2 year old boys to share:1. Super simple to assemble. The quick-release on the stem and seat made for putting this bike together a cinch. No tools needed and it was set up in 3 mins once out of the box.2. The quick release on the seat (plus a second seatpost that is longer) make this really easy for the boys to swap the bike. The fact that I don't need a wrench every time the other wants to ride it is a big plus.3. Lightweight - the bike is super light, but it doesn't feel cheap. Feels solid. And my 2 year old has no problem lifting up and down off of curbs, etc.4. No rough edges - both boys went down as they've been learning to ride the balance bike. Unlike some other bikes we looked at, none of the bolts are sharp for them to cut themselves on - I didn't appreciate this until I saw them fall and brush against the bike without being scraped by the bike. We're really psyched with this bike. Highly recommend.

My 3-year-old and 18-Month-old love these bikes!
I have been looking at these bikes for a while for my daughter but thought she might be a little small to learn. When she turned 3 I decided to get her one and, maybe wound up ordering one for my 1 1/2 year old boy while I was at it. Probably over-doing it like the Dad I am.The bikes are great. SO EASY TO ASSEMBLE! I did both bikes in under 20 minutes. You don't even need a wrench. I assembled them while the kids were napping, after they woke up to the surprise bikes we were out back tying them out.The kids were super stoked and believe it or not took to it pretty quick, even the 18 month old! I didn't know how he would do but he did great. Do them and yourself a favor and look up some youtube videos of kids getting around on these. It saves you explaining the concept of balance and gravity to a three-year-old. My daughter watched a few videos of toddlers on Cruzees and she was off. When they get a little better I'll post a video of them.

Excellent balance bike, real tires are great!
My daughter loves her balance bike and has made great progress in just 1 week. She is feels in control as she glides and can put her feet down as needed; she is also having a lot of fun. I like the real tires as I believe it gives her a more accurate feel for how a real bicycle will feel.UPDATE: After just 2 weeks (and she was probably ready within 10 days), my daughter was able to ride a regular bicycle (no training wheels). The balance bike let her figure out the feel of gliding on 2 wheels. Once she was comfortable gliding on 2 wheels for medium distances, adding peddling after that was simple.

It saves you explaining the concept of balance and gravity to a three-year-old. My daughter watched a few videos of toddlers on Cruzees and she was off. After a little more practice I'll post a video of them.Best part is it gets us all out of the house together!
