Bandai Hobby #2 Union Flag HG, Bandai Double Zero Action Figure

As an old model, you shouldn't expect too much from him considering the cheap price. But even so, if you're someone who likes the organism, I don't think you have much choice, do you?

As the first (and as of writing only) non UC High grade kit I own, this kit was needless to say an interesting build, even the non-grade 1/144 SEED DINN kit I own has polycaps while this does not. Still, the build was a refreshing difference from the polycap requirements (since these are sometimes malformed) and is generally well put together if you file down all the nubs from the sprues. The main problem's this kit has are stability issues when standing, the requirement of painting the melee weapon, the lack of rotation space for the defense rod on the left arm, and the fact that the linear rifle hates staying in the Flag's hand.Pros-Interesting buildnice and realistic military color scheme (close to USAF Gunship Grey)transformation is rather simple and does not require disassembly of the Flag (unlike many UC gunpla kits such as the Zeta or ReZeL)Paints seem to be largely for the intakes, exhaust, and accessoriesCons-not very stable unless the two movable stabilizer vanes on the feet are lowered when standing or you have it propped up against somethingdefense rod has poor rotation mobility due to designlinear rifle is mostly held in the hand by balancing and falls out during many posestransformation is somewhat odd compared to UC mobile suits.Overall it's essentially the Union's counterpart to the GM, Hizack, Jegan, or Zaku so it's a good army builder

When I purchased this kit, I was very excited. I haven't followed gundam lately, and being fond of the older models, hadn't purchased many model kits from the more recent series, but when I saw this kit, I just had to get one for myself. I was excited to get a model representing a mass-production mobile suit which transformed from a mech mode to plane mode, but after completing the model, which took about 2 hours, which was quite less time consuming than most models I've made, I found it difficult to transform the model, and then found it essentially impossible to transform it back. Also, the lack of polycap joint found in so many gundam models makes this model more fragile than a typical model, and somewhat frustrating to pose at times.

I just LOVE transformable frame types. The flag is my favourite non-gundam MS from 00 and has a smooth transformation. Although it is difficult to get the head out, the pain is worth it!

HG 1/144 GNX-Y903VW ブレイヴ 指揮官用試験機 を組む前に、『　グラハム・エイカーがガンダムと初交戦した機体　』ということで購入。　キットはプラ製ランナー二枚。関節パーツは１／２サイズのＡＢＳ樹脂ランナーに集約。ポリパーツは無し。ＡＢＳ樹脂は敬遠されがちですが、フラッグ・イナクトの様な細身のスタイルを再現し、保持力を持たせる為にはこの組合せが一番ベストだったと思います。　組み立てもいたってシンプルで簡単に組み立てられます。（しかし・・・ほっそいＭＳだな）色分けも大体合ってますし、不足分はシールにて補完。顔面のオレンジのクリアーパーツが映えます。変形も至ってシンプルでなおかつユニーク。武装はリニアライフルとプラズマソード。ディフェンスロッド(これが視覚的に一番新しかった気がする)は左右どちらの腕でも取付可。キットの性質上、ガシガシ動かして遊ぶより、好きなポーズを決めたら動かさないのが賢明かと。　気になった点・武器がまともに保持出来ない（調整が入っているかと思いきやそのままでした）・肩アーマーが簡単に外れる、関節も場所によってやや緩い箇所あり。・各所に意外と肉抜き穴が有る。　武器の保持に関しては手首パーツＡ９，Ａ１０の内側に0.14mm厚プラシート B4[3枚入]を小さく切って貼り調節。肩アーマーは半月状の縁に瞬着を微量塗付してややきつくしました。あと球体関節の緩い箇所は、粗めの紙やすりで包んで一回転させ、摩擦を増やして保持力をＵＰ。肉抜き穴はディフェンスロッド裏をパテ埋め。あとは「モールドに見えなくもない」のでそのまま。他には強度的に接着した方が良い箇所は、タミヤセメント 流し込みタイプで接着。　ボディが軽いのでｆｉｇｍａの付属スタンドでもしっかり飾れます。２００７年発のキットですがＡＢＳ関節の形状は今見ても合理的かつ無駄が無い。自分で調整が入れられるならオススメです。

フォルムがよい！また、パチ組もやりやすく、組んでいて楽しかったです。

この早期に所謂敵勢力の量産メカが発売されるのは良いことですね。完成度もなかなか。安全突起を丁寧に切り落とすだけでもかなりシャープに仕上がります。（ただしかなり尖るので要注意）ポリキャップレスで挟み込みがあり、組み立て後の間接部のテンション管理がちこーと面倒ですが、組み立て自体は非常にシンプルです。足首がやや不自由で立ちポーズに制限がかかりますが、変形機構の恩恵で可動範囲自体は良好。変形ギミックもぐりぐりと動かして俺変形を探るのもまた楽しいです。ソニックブレイドがクリアでないのはやや残念なポイントですが、その分、フェイス部のクリアパーツがホイルシールとあわせてかなり良い効果を出してます。ソリッドさと顔周りからどことなくリーオーを思い出すデザインも結構気に入りました。兵器におけるデザインとは機能なので、ユニオンのイデオロギーを機体から想像するというのも楽しいです。これ見よがしに（量産型）とついてますし、いかにもパイロン部に何か付きそうなので、バリエーション展開もあるのかな？
