Comfortable option
This is my first experience with a reusable pad, I was expecting something to go wrong, other than it being difficult to clean (I expected that), it protects pretty well and stays in place okay. I use an enzyme laundry detergent to which I add lemon essential oil and it seems to do the trick. The essential oil might have some effect on the longevity, but I’m willing to take that risk in order to make sure it’s clean. I’ve decided to get more of the same brand.

So comfortable
I love these. I should have switched years ago. They're so soft and unlike disposable pads, not hot or bulky.

Ability to swap top layer is what makes Lunapads uniquely useful
I think I bought my Lunapads direct, and I know I bought the first one at least over 10 years ago. The snap on one pantyliner has failed in all that time; my other Lunapads are still in good useable shape. The cloth itself remains supple and absorbent, though the flannel isn’t as fluffy as it was when new.I also own Glad Rags (my favorite overnight style because of its hourglass shape) and several artisan made types of pads bought back when my children were in cloth diapers. I’d say Glad Rags and Lunapads are equally high quality options. Lunapads shine the most in the simplicity of the pantyliner and the convenience (in the more absorbent pads) of changing the extra layers from the top which means owning fewer might be feasible.Cloth pads will never feel like disposables, but, if you are considering trying cloth for the first time, Lunapads are a solid choice. My older Lunapads had tricky mini-snaps in a row of three that were plastic; it looks like they’ve improved that one negative to a simpler (to fasten) individual (larger) snap. Yay!Dark colors will stain less over time; undyed fabric, on the other hand, is the least allergenic choice for ultra-sensitive individuals.

The best
There are so many out there but these are the best reusable pads ever. They are softer than most reusable pads and they are less prone to staining. I will continue use these.

Save the planet!
Save the planet by choosing fabric, washable pads over disposable plastic. These are soft, organic flannel and cotton so your skin and lady parts can breathe. There are wings with a snap in the middle, so you wrap this around your underwear bottom and snap to hold it in place. Although this is a good system, I found the pad does shift around/bunch up when doing anything active. I have a few pairs of undies where I have sewn a small Velcro square onto them at the top of the pad area and at the back part-and corresponding Velcro onto the underside of the pad in order to hold everything more securely in place. Better than just one middle snap. The insert is also just held in place by two elastics horizontal on either end of the pad-so I found the insert also bunches up/falls out. I had to put an additional piece of tighter elastic across the middle. So because of the bunching issues and the need to do my own sewing- I only gave 4 stars. But the pads have saved me a lot of money from using disposables. They are easy to wash by hand or toss into the washing machine and dryer. They don't smell. They are soft against the skin and breathable. You can wear alone (without insert) for light flow/pantyliner. You can purchase extra inserts and stack them to make it thicker and increase absorbency (heavier days) You can buy different lengths-long is best for overnight. It is an investment at first-I would recommend purchasing several so you have a fresh one for day/fresh for night and enough to last through the whole cycle...or you could get away with having a minimum of 2-4 and would have to hand wash every night so you have a clean/dry one again for next day. But after the initial investment, over time you will not have to buy disposables again. Overall, I think they are a good product and happy that I purchased them, and I will not go back to plastic.
