Beautiful!!!
I am a begginer sewist. My husband bought me a brother sewing machine 5 years ago. I took it out of the box last month to learn how to sew and nothing but problems and it quit working within a week. The lady teaching me to sew highly recommend investing in a high quality machine. So I searched and searched. I respected her recommendation but I could not afford to spend thousands of dollars. I found this Bernette b38 on Amazon. The reviews were great and I also looked on the manufacture website. I was a bit nervous since it was a high dollar item for me (in reality very affordable) so i posted a question asking about the legitimacy of the machine, in less than 24 hours one of the shop owners replied. The owner answered my questions thoroughly and promptly, thankyou!! So I bought it and very pleased with the meticulous packing as well as the amazingness of the sewing machine. Very user friendly, beautiful stitches, it is just sooo much fun to sew with!!!! I absolutely love my new sewing machine, worth every penny!!! My friend who is teaching me to sew has been sewing for 40 years and she cannot say enough remarkable things about it, she is soooo impressed with the quality and price!!! Thank you so much for the excellent service, quality, and packing. I just registered it on the manufacture website it has a 10 year warranty. Right now I am making little things; lots of pillow cases, a bowel cozy, a wallet, a bag. Next year at this time I am hoping to be designing and sewing my own clothes.

So Happy with my Bernadette 38 and its been almost 2 years and over a 1,000 hours of sewing.
This is my 3RD Swiss made machine. The first was a Bernina 1200 I used for 28 years. Bought a used one, Bernina 140 Patchwork. This machine was not working out for me so I sold it and bought the Bernadette 38. I am so glad I did. First it is BEAUTIFUL AND so fun to look at. It does it all.... in my opinion, from threading itself to cutting them off. It is versital from Jean's to synthetic's. With so many options from tension controls, stitch widths and pressure foot controls. This machine is not so heavy that you can't grab and go. The rolling sewing machine bag is ABOVE STANDARD in quality, even has storage for all those extras you might need. This product package is amazing for the price. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!#sewhappybychristieOkay, it's been over 3 years and yes, I would write the same review. I use this machine almost everyday and for multiple hours when I do. It is amazing.

Great Machine but issues with the presser feet in bundle
The machine is fantastic. I've been sewing for about 2 years and I was ready to get a machine that would last for a while. This machine is very easy to use and is much quieter than the Brother I was using before. The only issue I had lies in the presser foot kit that is in the bundle. The gathering foot I received doesn't fit the b38. You can always do hand gathers or gather with a million other methods so this definitely isn't a reason not to buy the bundle - it's still a terrific deal.

Not the best stitch quality
I was looking forward to this sewing machine, but even after working on the balance and making numerous adjustments, using various fabrics and threads, I’m not very happy with the stitches. Felt like I got better work out of my $90 Janome.

Lightweight smaller cousin to a full sized Bernina
Great machine to take to quilting bees, classes or anywhere when you need to take a machine to participate in a event. I have a full sized Bernina 475QE which is pretty heavy to carry around. This l9ght weight Bernette is great as a second machine, or even as a primary one.

Don't buy sewing machines thru Amazon
Not what was ordered. Machine shipped very late. Did not function properly-skipped stitches and sounded strange. Was a pain to order and a pain to return.
