does these fit the new apple airpods 3rd generation?

No. This is made specifically for the Air Pods pro.

Why do these not stay on my AirPod?

Dear, please take off all parts of the old ear tips and align the buckle on the ear tips to the headphone, press slightly then it will stay on your AirPods Pro very well.

Whats the black piece is called between the AirPod and the skin, I’m missing that piece, and not sure what to look up for a replacement?

Completely wrong… they are not black

Do they stay in while running?

They didn't even fit on my air pod. So I would say the answer is no they do not.

These AirPods tips seem of good quality, but their fit seems to be slightly different from the original ones so they did not fit me.
