I was so excited to receive this chlorine pool float, it is sturdy and does not tip over! In the evening after the sun goes down, the solar light reflects off of the water in the pool and it looks really nice! I plan on getting a few more for next year, I tested it with just one chlorine tablet and it works fine. I am using three in the one float now and it is holding my 24’ round Chlorine level perfect. I figured if I get two more floats, I can float three chlorine tabs among them and really light up the pool at night. The really nice thing about this is; at the end of the season you can just clean it out and use it as a solar light outside on your deck. The chlorine holder is retractable—it sits nicely on a table and provides a nice amount of light. Update 08/28/24: I want to say that this does not change mind or my review about the chlorine floater by HYDROTOOLS! Just a soft warning, I went out to swim in my pool on the weekend with my granddaughter. Having a solar light in the pool all evening will attract a few more bugs than normal. I still really love the look of the light, apparently the bugs do too! LOL

This works well as a chlorine dispenser but the light stopped charging so it doesn't light up at night anymore and I've only had it for a year. I couldn't find any directions on how to replace the bulb so I'd have to buy a whole new one, which seems like a waste.

I love solar lights and we needed a new dispenser as they rarely last a year before the chlorine eats it. So this kills two birds with one stone for us! As a solar light it works very well. Nice bright, yet warm light, and it looks very nice floating in the pool at night. During the day I don't think it's all that attractive, but no worries there. As a dispenser it works well enough, but it's kind of weird since you can't adjust the holes. It's easy to put the tabs inside, but once you close it - and you need to all the way or else the tabs will fall out as they shrink - you're left with just some really tiny holes. I've only been using this a week, so time will tell if the holes are big enough to properly dispense enough chlorine.

𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: Pleasant to look at, no adjustability. ┈╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍┈ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 🕯️ Pleasing to look at at night; brightness is like a dim, gentle flame. In the day, it's still better looking than a typical dispenser due to the bulk of the above-water dispenser being transparent. 🕯️ The outer transparent casing stays oddly clean somehow. I'm not sure how, but I haven't had to wash it to keep it near spotless. 🕯️ Definitely holds a max of three tabs without much leeway. It's also worth mentioning that there's no way to adjust the amount of chlorine dispersion since this only has the bay to load the tabs and no other adjustment. I suppose you could leave the bay more open for more water flow. Overall, pretty decent. If you need chlorine dispersal, you might have to look at a different dispenser or get multiples of this.

I found myself needing a new chlorinator and came across this nice little Swimline unit. It looks very much like another chlorinator I own so I was expecting to have nearly a match set - and the other one has held up wonderfully. When I received the product, I immediately noticed that the globe was smaller than the other one I owned and that the section that holds the chlorine also was much shorter/smaller than the one I already owned. My in-ground pool uses a good amount of chlorine in a week when it is getting a lot of use during the summer months. This means this smaller unit (which also has no way of adjusting the water flow) will need more attention to keep my water at its best. The quality is good so I would expect years of service from this floating dispenser, but I would most likely recommend it for a hot tub or a smaller above-ground pool - in my case this will require more work over time than something that holds more chlorine.

This chlorine tab floater is the best for one major reason! It has a rotating sliding door that reminds me of the old bank teller capsules that send the money to the cashier through a tube. It makes inserting additional tabs a cinch. No more clicking locks to figure out or hassling to make sure threads are aligned just right every time I need a fresh tablet. I just slide the door left or right since it works both ways and pop in the tablets and then slide it back around to close. Very cool and best ease of access I've had in a chlorine floater in decades! Very satisfied and recommended! Thank you.

Going by an assumption here. I use this on a 4800 gallon pool so using the chlorine tablets here is a bit of a mess to say the least. Chlorine levels rose pretty high compared to my other chlorine floater. Even just having one tablet in. The night light isn't exactly bright but it is a nice touch. I might have a dud but it still works how it's supposed to.
