Don't assume all these third party battery adapters are the same. I made the mistake of assuming they all had low voltage protection after reading it on a slightly more expensive model, these do not. I lost one battery to my own fault, another lost when someone plugged in the adapter while helping put away some tools.Mistakes happen and it stinks that Dewalt relies on the tools to prevent over discharge of the battery packs. Do not buy any third party device that doesn't include built in low voltage protection. Saved a couple dollars on this purchase compared to the others, but lost two very pricey batteries.

dont leave these on the battery when not in use....they will run it down to zero, the yellow housing doesnt match that well...but im guessing we all dont care about that. i bought it to charge cell phones when camping

This unit has burned out two radios, and my phone charging capabilities.Both of the radios have only been plugged into this unit. Which played while the battery lasted, but never charged the device and damaged the charging unit in the devices.. so that they cannot be charged. Both of these devices quit while plugged into the power supply unit.My phone actually said it was charging, but after I unplugged it from this unit and the battery went down, it too could not be charged again! This power supply unit is charging 5.3 volts.. Apparently that is enough to burn out the usb connection, because I can not file transfer, or charge the devices.

We use these things every weekend! With a softball kid in the Texas summer we picked up two dewalt cordless fans, and we roll into the park with 6-8 batteries anyway. These chargers will run the whole teams phones for a weekend. Several other parents have already bought some as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Wasn't sure if these would hold up to commercial contractor abuse or if they would work well since they are not DeWalt brand. But no problems. Great to have with you in a pinch. No overheating. No issues at all

Works great. Used one to power my kids powerwheels by deleting the usb part. Used another one to charge my kids tablet that's installed in my whip. No issues with either unit.

It works, does what it’s supposed to. BUT. DO NOT leave it on the battery when nothing is being charged because it will drain your battery so low that it cannot be charged again. I had this happen to one of my batteries. Only leave it on the battery when your charging something on it and not when your not.
