Great skin primer and was at a great price. I have used this everyday for a few weeks and I'm happy to say that I will likely buy this again. When liquid is pumped it dispenses thickly like jelly and you only need one - two pumps at a time

I usually struggle with primers that are good and work with my skin type, but this one is actually really good especially for the price point. Have now made it a staple in my makeup bag.

I’ve been using the essence Jelly Grip Hydrating Primer, and overall I’m actually really impressed—just not quite “holy grail” status (yet). First off, the texture is that fun jelly, slightly sticky feel, which makes you immediately feel like your makeup is going to stay put all day. And to be fair it really does help foundation grip nicely and go on smoother. My makeup definitely looks more even and fresh when I use this. It’s also nicely hydrating, which I love. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry, and it gives a subtle, natural glow without looking greasy. Plus, it’s translucent, so no weird white cast or anything like that. HOWEVER… it’s not completely perfect: The “grip” is good, but not super glue level (don’t expect miracles on very long days) It can feel a tiny bit tacky if you use too much and make your face slightly dry I found the staying power is better than nothing but not dramatically life-changing That said, for the price, it still does a really solid job. What I liked: Smooths skin nicely sometimes Helps makeup apply better Hydrating without feeling heavy Budget-friendly win Final verdict: A great everyday primer that gives you that fresh, put-together look… just don’t expect your makeup to survive a full emotional breakdown or a UK rainstorm Would definitely keep using it—just with realistic expectations!

I love this jelly grip it really does work and it helps moisturize my skin before I add my makeup for a clean and smooth effect, it also helps I use the jelly grip setting spray afterwards together they work like a charm.

It works better than the milk primer and it didn’t feel heavy or clogging, I wash my face with a face wash then I apply my moisturizer (I use purito Bambo skin barrier) and sunscreen then when all of that dries up I apply the primer, let it dry again then I apply my usual makeup foundation concealer etc. but I could definitely see a glow and the make up does stay for the whole day plus it feels light on the skin unlike many other primers I’ve tried before, keep in mind I have dry and sensitive skin but I believe the routine I’m using also adds up to the equation that’s why I didn’t see any cracking or patcheness in the foundation, essence will always have my heart overall 10/10 would recommend.
