I'm a competitive dance mom, which basically means I spend a gazillion dollars every year helping my daughter pursue happiness, joy, and the dream of collecting sparkly costumes she'll outgrow in six months. Between competition fees, costumes, travel, makeup, hair accessories, I have officially reached my budgetary limit. So when it comes to tap shoes, I simply cannot justify buying the ultra-expensive designer version—especially when my daughter grows out of them every 6 months to a year. That's why I keep coming back to these shoes. They're durable, comfortable, and most importantly, reasonably priced. They hold up well through classes, rehearsals, and all the enthusiastic stomping that comes with tap dance. Every time my daughter's feet decide to grow overnight, I find myself right back here ordering the next size up. Do they do the job? Absolutely. Are they priced in a way that doesn't make me question my life choices? Also yes. As a dance parent, I've learned to save money where I can—and these shoes are one of the easiest wins. My daughter is happy, her dance teacher is happy, and my wallet is significantly less stressed. That's a triple victory in my book.

These shoes fit my very wide feet! I wore them to my first step class and they were great. Very comfy, excellent fit. I'd say they run true to size

I debated about size due to reviews. I'm normally a 6.5 or 7, and I ordered the 7. I tie the laces about as tight as they go (my feet are regular-to-narrow), and there's still a little wiggle room around the ankle opening, but not much extra length or room in the tow box. They started to blister the back of my heels when I tried them barefoot, so I wear thin socks (haven't tried with tights.) The sound of the taps is good. They've held up to my very beginner, low-impact dancing for about a month and seem sturdy/well-made. I find the laces loosen themselves while wearing, so I have to re-tie/tighten them every 20 min or so. I decided to take beginner lessons on a whim at age 46, so I didn't want to invest a lot of $. These have worked out just fine at a great price.
