F5 Complete Tap Water Filtration System (Chrome with Chrome Cap)

I have excess calcium in my city water. Although I was assured that it is safe to drink, it tastes awful. It also leaves white film that turns crusty on my fixtures and appliances. I tried using the Britta pitcher but I could still taste the chemicals that are used to clean the water. The Instapure leaves no residue or aftertaste. It works great. My only problem is that the filtered water comes out in a thin stream but the regular tap pours out quickly and thicker. I don't know if it's the plumbing or the Instapure that is doing this. I am a patient woman, however, and I don't mind waiting for a couple of minutes to fill my coffee pot in the morning.

The faucet connection mechanism on this model is better than the FC2 model it replaced. Be sure to install washers correctly or leaks can occur. Install using the supplied white plastic faucet fastening tool. The water flow is typical of granulated carbon type filters. It really saves on bottle water costs!

It works very good. It leaked a little at first. Saves a ton of money over bottled.

So, this is the second one we’ve bought. The first many years ago. It began to leak internally between the water and the filter output. No way to open it up without breaking it open, I think. Not mad about that because it was probably 10 years old. The new connection parts are plastic. I tried to use the new supplied parts during installation but it was impossible to mount without it leaking. I used teflon tape and it leaked. I think pipe dope might help. Here’s the thing, while tightening the plastic it snapped. I had to revert to a very old metal piece from the first time we hooked it up to get it to work. It still leaks a little and I might add some pipe dope but don’t really want that gook near drinking water. The main connector is still plastic so I might try to tighten it up but I am afraid it would break or perhaps add more teflon tape.

I needed this in my life. Easy to install, looks good and an immediate difference to the appearance and taste of water. Now if only I could order the 4-pack of filters to be sent to South Africa.

Been using this filter system for 30 years...each unit will last several years. Does a fantastic job of purifying the tap water, removing bad tastes. I use it for all drinking water, cooking water. Best value on the market, filters last me about 4 months.

We had a Brita. The lever became harder to work. I checked online and found this to be a issue with other owners.This InstaPure has been an excellent replacement. Great tasting water and the filters are cheaper and last longer than the Brita. And the lever is easy to rotate.

I have been using InstaPure faucet mounted water filters for over 40 years. The mechanism breaks down and I buy a new one. The last one I had lasted about 10 years. I am very satisfied with the quality of filtered water it produces.

Yes this is the unit I wanted, it's installed and providing pure drinking water. The best part is that I didn't have to shop store after store to find one. Delivered to my door on time, at a great price. Paul
