ÇAYKUR Filiz Black Tea, First Harvest Golden Tips, Loose Leaf Premium Tea, Best Flavor 500g / 17.6 Oz

I grew up in South America, where drinking tea was a cherished family tradition. We would gather to enjoy freshly brewed tea, and its rich flavor and wonderful aroma are memories I have never forgotten. Since moving to the United States, I have struggled to find a tea that brings back those memories. After researching different brands on Amazon and reading many positive reviews, I decided to give this one a try, and I’m so glad I did. This tea exceeded my expectations. It has a rich yet smooth flavor and a wonderful aroma that reminds me of the tea I enjoyed growing up. It tastes authentic, is easy to prepare, and has quickly become one of my favorite teas. If you enjoy high-quality black tea with a rich flavor and a pleasant aroma, I highly recommend giving this tea a try.

Big 2lb bag. I know, I know, you're supposed to drink this clear, like they do in Istanbul, but I had some with milk. With milk it tastes to me like a mix of Ceylon, rooibos and nettle leaves. It is a good, likeable flavor, but FYI, not your cuppa of Indian or East Africa tea. Price very right.

Excellent Turkish Çay!

Watching a long Turkish drama series (165 episodes!) I got to see a custom practiced very often in that series: whenever somebody visits somebody, whether acquaintances, friends or family, they're offered tea! Being a tea drinker myself, I was curious to know what kind of tea is served in Turkey. Luckily, Amazon has quite a few selections to choose from. I've decided to start with this Caykur brand of black tea, which is described as grown in the Black Sea region, without pesticides. I didn't realize the bag had quite a bit of tea in it! At the rate of 1 full teaspoon of tea for each cup of water, I'll be drinking this tea for a long time! Which is fine by me, because I've found the taste to be excellent, with a little sweetness to it, and a mild pleasant fragrance. It also has a nice clear reddish brown color, which looks really enticing when served in the traditional little clear glass cups (that will be my next purchase!). As a bonus, it is equally delicious as hot tea or cold iced tea. Some people may have a problem with the tea being ground, if they had expected tea leaves. This is not a problem for me because I have a really good strainer. I feel that this purchase was a great value for my money.

This tea is typical for the Middle East. We don't drink strong tea and use 1.5tsp of tea leaves for 25 Fl.oz. We drink this tea 2-3 times a day, every day. It has good flavor, the taste is smooth and mild depending on the amount you use and your length of steeping for the proper brew. This tea can be used with milk like English teas as well. One issue. The leaves are cut small, so you need a mesh strainer to keep the leaves out of your cup. And still, the little grains may be at the bottom of your cup. Our friends ordered the same tea also from Amazon (they gave us a link of their order) but 1 year ago and they didn't have such an issue.

Exquisite Turkish tea, very good quality, very fresh taste, real good. I like mine very soft. Quantity in how much you use depends in how you like your tea. I use 2 tablespoons to 8-10 oz of fresh water. 😉 Enjoy !! Recommend.

Although this tea is handled by large companies it allows the women tea growers to continue at this time.
