Micrometer appears very good quality ,good consistency with measurements.
I have oedered this as my new lathe is metric and my other micrometer is imperial and making parts to repair a few long case clocks all good so far.

Lovely, the included ratchet makes it easy and a pleasure to use. The case could be a better fit.
Case was not perfect, as in after removing the warranty card etc it now slides about a bit. Other than that it's lovely, the included ratchet makes it easy and a pleasure to use.

Precise and solid
Works like a charm; measures are consistent. At first I thought I had to calibrate it, then I realized that even the slightest impurity that lands on the measuring surfaces (like oil traces and dust) get measured, so you need to gently close (or almost close) it on a piece of paper (I used kitchen paper) and gently slide it off to clean the surface. Then it measured perfectly, and trying different objects multiple times it gave the same measurements down to the micron.

Plastic ratchet
The ratchet stop is made of plastic, it gives it a very cheap feeling. It still functions OK, just cheapy...

Equipo muy util para taller, y para trabajos de aficionados con pequeñas maquinas herramienta; Mejora mucho la repetitividad de medidas, y precisión, frente al uso de un calibre tradicional; se garantizan trabajos con una precision de la centesima de milímetro. El micrometro de Mitutoyo es perfecto, y da lo que anuncia: preción al nivel definido en todo el rango de medida. Vale la pena la diferencia de precio sobre otros micrometros que aparentan precisión que luego no cumplen ni por repetitividad de medida, ni por homogeneidad de la precisión en el rango de medida. ¡Cuidado con las falsificaciones!, estos equipos solo se venden a su precio normal; Vendidos desde China a valores de su mitad de precio son falsificaciones. Very accurate when I compare to precision parts

Livré dans une boite rigide en plastique, l'outil est sous vide partiel avec un papier "Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor" pour la protection contre la corrosion. Calibré dès le départ, l'enclume et le tambour sont plats au micro pré avec un défaut de parallélisme < 2 micron (mon exemplaire 1.3 micron) A manipuler doucement, si on "lance" le tambour à la fin pour la mesure ca l'écrase contre l'enclume et on perd 3/100, on est plus au zéro. Si on fait doucement jusqu'au cliquet c'est parfait. Livré calibré avec certificat, à zéro.
