The media could not be loaded. This was really cool! There were approximately 40 good quality stones in mine. There are also lots of regular naturally occurring stones that I will probably throw away but the main ones are very pretty. They say that 1 in 5 bags are a lucky bag with more gemstones but I am pretty sure I had a regular one. I plan to take these stones and tumble them in my rock tumbler to increase their quality of their appearance. I didn’t buy the sifter or shovel. I just used a cup with a handle and a kitchen colander and a large bowl of water to sift the sand out. This was so fun to do with my son. Definitely worth it if you enjoy cool rocks!

My son loved this! The gemstones are huge. Looking forward to using a rock tumbler for them.

I recently ordered a bag of this paydirt to pan through with my little ones since they have acquired a taste for panning and hunting "pretty rocks". The first time i ordered this product the payment was processed and the dirt was shipped the same day, super fast response from the seller, even on a Sunday. The package came in the mail and is deceptively heavy for its size. The package came with a double bagged satchel of pay dirt which even after handling by the postal service was free of tears or leaks. It also came with a gem ID card, the invoice which had a hand written thank you note on it, a nice touch! I took the panning tub, a couple pans and classifiers out into the yard and had my kids start processing material. Needless to say they were surprised and so was i. I was skeptical at first, but after i saw them yank out a massive chunk of Amethyst, Pyrite and Amazonite i was impressed. Also a handful of Topaz, terminated crystal quartz, a few Rubies and a dozen or so other gemstones mixed in. They were at it for at least an hour and that was between them splitting one bag. The company also mentions the possibility of there being a few flakes of gold mixed in if you are lucky, again i wasn't expecting gold (nor is it guaranteed) i was pleasantly surprised yet again. there were a few -100 mesh flakes and nano dots mixed in, not the intended reason for the paydirt, but was a nice surprise. I cant exactly claim that my purchase was totally selfless *wink wink*.This was a month or so ago, today i ordered two more bags for Christmas and again, the seller was lightning fast in their response, the payment being processed and the shipping underway in the same day, again on a Sunday.TL: DR:Fast shipping and response, Really cool product with alot of interesting gems, and a tiny bit of gold if you're lucky, and certainly recommend for those who like a mystery gem bag or kids as it will keep them busy for quite a while.Gems are not polished, it is a bag of rough gems. Also, be prepared to dispose of some sand after you are finished.

The stones are great and it worked well for our geology lesson. I will say that there is a lot of jasper pieces and some of the minerals shouldn’t be exposed to water due to their softness and ease of scratching/breaking. Otherwise it was fun to do and we added some neat pieces to our collection.

I love it a lot, I’d say buy two to get a lot of high value crystals, it’s very fun to use and very exciting finding out the names of the crystals !

My 7 yr old son loved this gift!!! Enjoyed every second of sifting, rinsing, and identifying each and every rock!
