Louise Maelys Wooden Wide Tooth Comb For Curly Hair

Actually really like this comb. At first I thought it would be to small but it's just right I was using a wide tooth plastic comb before and this comb doesn't seem to catch on my hair. I have long hair and have no problem pulling it all up in a pony tail when I work outside. So far quality seems good and I even dropped it on a hard floor, not to thick or thin! I always start at bottom to detangling my hair as not to just start at top and pull it, this works no problem. I'm 73 and have used a lot of products and I really like this one!

So I'm a little excessive and bought the whole set. The ones labeled greenwood smell great (not the incense or perfume sandalwood, more of a natural wood). They do change color (neat to watch). The first comb I received was the basic wide tooth and it was a little light on the scent until I rubbed it a little. All combs are two pieces, the back and the teeth. Not one piece. That might make a difference in the future on how the glue holds but for now the seams are smooth with no exposed glue. I did a scratch test on the red and black combs under the teeth as they didn't smell or only smelled a little. The ones I have are wood under the outer coat. Whether they are actual sandalwood is up for debate. Overall, I love my combs. I have quite fine, fairly long, sometimes curly hair (depends on how I treat it after washing). Great combs. Smooth through my hair.

Love it! Works amazingly

I bought this as replacement for long-loved wooden comb, which unfortunately broke after years of good use. This comb does the job, as it is sturdy, it is wood and it looks nice. Though it does not feel as nice to hold as my old one, and I've been using this new one for a while now, it just feels different. It's good enough.

I love it . It feels so good to comb my hair. Like a mini head massage. I feel it does help with static.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this comb. I read a lot of positive reviews about this comb, which seems funny because it’s just a wooden comb. But many of what others noted is true. It goes through my straight, fine hair very easily and I did actually notice my hair was much shinier after using it! I purchased it to keep in my travel toiletries for travel purposes, but liked it so much that I’ll use this one every day and put my old comb in my travel bag.

Had been using bamboo combs prior to this one and had read that sandlewood combs are better quality. I have to say this is the best comb I have ever used. It doesn’t grab hair like some combs do. Sandlewood itself is slightly an oily wood so it’s very moisture resistant. It also seems to spread my hair’s natural oils evenly. The best part is the smell. Sandlewood smalls great ad it imparts son o that scent to my hair. Oh Amazon said to mention sturdiness, sheerness, and stretch. So there mentioned those words.

Great, but prefer the version with a handle.
