ACANA Pate Wet Cat Food Variety Pack Beef Chicken & Tuna 3oz Cans (12 ct.)

My fussy cats gobbled it up. Amazing because they usually don’t like pate canned food.

When I received this case of ACANA wet cat food from Amazon, some of the labels were coming off the cans. That should have been a warning, but I foolishly pressed on. Miss Kitty, however, would not eat it despite it's list of healty ingredients, and I wonder if the cans had been sitting around in an Amazon warehous too long. Caveat Emptor.

I recently tried ACANA Premium Pate Wet Cat Food in the Bone Broth Variety Pack for my two cats, and I must say, it has been a hit! The Chicken & Fish and Beef Chicken & Tuna recipes both come in convenient 3oz cans, making mealtime super easy. My cats absolutely devour it—no leftovers in sight! I appreciate the quality ingredients and the rich broth that keeps their coats shiny and healthy. Overall, it's a fantastic option for anyone looking to treat their furry friends to something special. Highly recommend it!

One thing to note about this is that it doesn't have much gravy. I only say that because there are definitely a bunch of cats out there who will only lick the gravy off of wet food and then walk away. One of my cats is like that, and she left 90% of the can. She nibbled for a bit, and then walked away. My other two cats liked it though. The quality of the ingredient is quite good. It's mostly meat, which is definitely good for cats. You definitely don't want to be feeding your cats grain all the time. The size of these is about the same size as most of the fancy cat foods. In other words it's small. The cheaper cat foods tend to be larger, but made with worse ingredients. I guess that's a trade-off. It's a bit drier than a lot of wet food. I don't mean it's dry, it's just not as moist as some wet food. It's that kind of food that you have to break up for your cat once you put it in the bowl. It wants to come out as kind of a solid clump. The only reason it doesn't come out as a solid clump is the fact that the can is a little bit lipped. In other words you kind of have to break it up and take it out of the can. It doesn't really like to come out. The texture is pretty normal for pâté. The lamb and kidney version doesn't smell that much to me. The cats get smell it though. They came running to scream at me as soon as I opened up a can. Of course the cat has a much better sense of smell than I do. It's just not one of those extremely stinky cat foods. As long as your cat isn't one of those kinds that just wants to lick gravy off of wet cat food, your cat probably will like this. One of my cats is fairly picky, and she did eat it. She didn't eat all of it, but she did eat. My glutton cat that will eat most anything obviously happily ate.
