Dorman 84928 9/16 In. LED Indicator Light - Green

The tabs are very thin, a very thin piece of steel folded to make it thick enough to fit the connectors, and very easy to break. Thus far I've broken 2 of the 3 I purchased.

I have a ridding mower that didn't come with all the bells and whistles, so I have added some things I think are important for safety and function. Most machines have some kind of light that verifies the ignition is turned on, which is important with mowers and tractors. Since I didn't have one, I drilled a hole with a 1/2 bit and wiggled it a bit to make room for the threads. Then I made up a ground wire for one side and a short vampire clip wire that I attached to the hour meter (yellow or yellow/white wire). The red light glows just enough to see it with sunglasses on outdoor and its large enough to see from a distance.This is a 12 volt LED.Minimal current, so you can use very tiny wires to connect.It has two male tabs that I connected with wires that had female tabs.I use plastic covered connectors, but the mechanical separation is good enough you don't need to worry about a short circuit.It's rather large for an idiot light, but that makes it easy to see and to work with.it took me longer to find the right wire to tap into than drilling the hole and mounting the light.The unit needs about 2 inches of space for depth.

Nicely made, good looking but the light output is very poor. Ok for a dash light where you're looking right at it, but I wanted to use these as interior courtesy lights to gently light up the floor of my car - from the bottom of my dash the light doesn't reach the floor. Otherwise nice light.

Used this led for a neutral safety light on my bike, works great

This light has a wonderful classic look. I purchased for my son and his interest in circuitry. The only issue I have is that light itself is quite dim. Wish it were a little brighter. Other than that, solid construction and nice looking.

Works as expected and looks great. One thing though, the LED has a specific 12v + terminal so make sure to wire it accordingly
