The dog enjoyed it, for the 5 minutes (if that) that it lasted. She is medium sized 50lb dog. But she seemed to enjoy the flavor lol.

My 7-year-old purebred husky LOVES this bone. She is an aggressive chewer when it comes to bones/toys of any kind, and typically chews through a large rawhide within a couple of days. When the package arrived with this bone inside, she knew it right away. I couldn't smell it, but BOY could she! I gave it to her, and she immediately found a spot to enjoy it. This bone only lasted about 20 minutes, but the paw cleaning afterwards (done by her, not me) kept her busy even longer. Not that I saw any mess on her paws, but she sure tasted it! The package warns of possible staining, so I put a towel down for her to chew the bone on. I did not see any staining afterward, which was really encouraging because she tends to carry her treats to all different areas of the house. My husky girl is also a HUGE people lover, so whenever anyone comes over, she has to get into their personal space and get all the belly rubs she can. This is really difficult during game nights, discipleship, meetings, dinners, etc. (We all love petting her, but once you pet her, you can NEVER stop--she won't let ya!) These bones are EXTREMELY helpful to keep her entertained and distracted so that we can have time to talk without a husky nose in our faces! Haha she doesn't try to rush through this bone quickly like she does with others, and she doesn't get bored with it like she does with rawhides (with which she chews for a moment and then runs back to someone to get pet). All in all, GREAT purchase. Not the longest lasting, but we're happy with it!

My Aussie has been having some minor chewing accidents, so I thought this would help deter his "accidental destructiveness". I expected him to have it for several days, but apparently I didn't understand his absolute desire or need to chew on something. It took him about 20 minutes to destroy it. Some might think that this is a product failure, but what they are missing is, my dog was in the "chew zone." My husband had stepped out to run errands, and our boy is always there to greet him at the door when he returns. However, this time he stayed on his bed, working on that Nylabone. Let me add he has a Kong, but after a while he loses interest in it. So because of this I am going to see what he does with the extreme chewer bone.

Don't get me wrong-our dog loved it, for ten minutes. She is a 9 month old pincher-dalmation.

Dogs love them but they dont last long at all. Good for a treat but not to keep them entertained for any length of time.
