Is this heat resistant ?

Nope! ..and I learn it the hard way. So I was making Caramel at work. I forgot that this wasn't heat resistant so half way through I noticed white particles on my caramel only to find out it was my spatula melting along with my sugar. lol

Where is this made? china?

I returned this and another scraper after I found the MADE IN CHINA on the handle. I purchased http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O6330E/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 instead. I have been very happy with them and yes, they are made in the USA. The set I purchased does not seem to be available now, but it looks like the individual items are still there.

What is the melting point for the silicone?

I don’t know the exact melting point in degrees, but I have used them for mixing hot, think ingredients, BUT in a bowl. Once I used it to stir while in the pot on a hot stove and then silicone melted.
