Love, Love, Love! Using as Shower Curtain Rod...
I searched high and low for a high polished, gold tone shower curtain rod. Nothing else would do as I have high polished, gold tone Grohe bath fixtures in my bathroom. The faucet on my jacuzzi tub is massive and very dramatic so putting up any other color rod would not have worked. I couldn't believe how impossible it was to find what I was looking for. I came across a handful of gold shower curtain rods but they were all around $100. I don't mind spending money to decorate my home but for me, I couldn't see spending that much on a shower curtain rod. This "room divider" popped up in my search so I put it in my cart as I continued looking. I would have purchased it immediately but I read the comment from the seller stating it shouldn't be used as a shower curtain rod because it would eventually rust but how many of us have had actual shower curtain rods rust over time? Me! I purchased this anyway because I always wipe down my shower and fixtures after I shower, including the curtain rod so I don't see this rusting anytime soon. A review below states you can't make it shorter once you pull it out but that's not the case. It easily goes from long to short and back again. Another review states it tricky? There's nothing tricky about it. A 3rd grader could put this up. Takes 2 minutes. The rod is beautiful. It's very, very smooth and very shiny deep gold. Sometimes shiny gold tone can look cheap. This doesn't! My gold rollerball curtain hooks slide across this rod like a dream! The suction cups are excellent. I have an Italian porcelain tile up the walls in my shower that have a very slight "wave" texture. This rod sticks to it like nobody's business. Very tight and secure. I purchased the rod that goes to 50". My shower is 101" high and 45" wide. It's perfect and it looks EXACTLY like a shower curtain rod. Nobody will ever know it's a "room divider." I am extremely pleased with this product! The ease of use, the perfect shiny gold, the incredible smoothness make it well worth $30. I would recommend this product to a friend or family member. (ps: if you like my shower curtain it's Tahari which I also purchased here on Amazon. it's beautiful!) thank you seller & AMAZON!

I bought 3 sizes for 3 sliders, some tips
This is a quality product, I bought one to try, then two more to hang curtains in three sliders- 6', 8', and 12'. I wanted the curtains to be inside the slider opening as there isn't room to mount them above or out the sides. I used curtains with grommets that slide along the poles. The 6' pole was easy to install, no issues. The pole kept sliding down in the 8' slider opening, studying it I could see the problem was not the pole but the sides the pole pushed against- they were not parallel, and slippery plastic, so the pole did not grip well. I fixed that by putting a bead of hot melt glue under the pole ends to stop the sliding. (it sticks, but can be scraped off) The 12' pole sagged an inch or so in the middle, so I added a support to hold up the middle. It's now flat, and since the curtains open in the middle it's not in the way. This was a quick, easy, and inexpensive solution to my curtain problem.

Just what I needed. When you don't want to pull out the drill and nails!
This is so convenient especially when you're in a pinch. I wanted to wait about 2 weeks before submitting my review. I was genuinely surprised by the quality and build. I did quite a bit of research. I think we've all been there. You scroll and scroll and filter out items by star rating and even price and even then you have your doubts. I narrowed it down between this and three different items and did a comparison of all four. In the end, this one had the better reviews and it was also aesthetically pleasing, when compared to the other three. The first thing I noticed about this item after a few days was nothing had fallen down, even with the addition of heavy blackout curtains. There really isn't enough time in the day to review things but this was actually worth taking a moment to share and maybe helping others cut down the time they search. I am certainly glad my search is over. LOL

Works but sagging
I ran into a problem after I bought a gorgeous and very expensive curtain rod for my 11 foot window. I couldn’t screw it into the walls or the ceiling because it turned out that in my new apt that is where the air conditioning vent is. So I needed a solution without a middle support. I found this tension rod. Assembling it was super easy. Line up the screws. Tighten with included wrench. Loosen screws at the end. Take off the cap. Put on curtains. Screw cap back in. Twist rod a number of inches longer than the wall. Squeeze and position. I’m 5’5 and was able to get it into position myself while on a step ladder. Good news is , it’s been a few days and the rod hasn’t slipped or changed positions. But as other reviews have mentioned, bc it is almost at full extension capacity it does sag in the middle. I KNOW I extended it to as much as I could, I had my bf give it some muscle too in case I was too weak. But it sags in the middle with no weight by about an inch. I have very light curtains on it. I think it would stay up with heavier weight as well. It is quite a solid piece of hardware. Gravity just gets the better of it. That said, it does do the job of keeping up curtains on an 11 foot wall without a middle support. So while it’s not most elegant - 4 stars - as I would have NO curtains without it.

Beautiful alternative to permanent rods
I purchased 4 sets 2- 48"-80" and 2- 80"-120" as I needed a solution for placing curtains within my sliding door frame and window frames . Shower curtain rods were too narrow and the bulbous ends wouldn't allow the grommet curtains. I found this solution and it worked perfectly. I was able to install the rod on a 104" wide span with 3 curtain panels (of heavy weight thermal curtains) by myself! It would be easier with 2 people. Initially I had doubt that any TENSION TYPE ROD LIKE THESE could support a very wide span (104") AND 3 heavy curtain panels. But these are designed for exactly this application and are well worth the $$$$. I plan to remove them in the winter as I am only trying to keep the Florida heat out. So not having to install curtain rods AND to be able to tuck them into my sliding door frames really made a neat, modern solution. The silver steel is smart in appearance and very sturdy. I highly recommend these ...save yourself the grief of trying flimsy lightweight tension rods or unsuitable (for curtains) shower rods.

Easy install to replace bulky sliding closet doors
Took down large bulky sliding doors to a 7’ closet so son can have full use of both sides at once. Took less than 15 mins. No drilling. No holes. And rod is smooth, so no seams for rings to catch on. Purchased the curtains from amazon too. The back wall is exactly 10’ long x 8’ high and the 120” rod fit perfect. (FYI make sure you slide on your curtain rings before joining rods together) Also Excellent customer service! Call them if you have issues with set screws. They were great in sending me a replacement and took time to explain how to get the 2 poles to join (the step1 picture in the directions could be improved, I think there would be fewer complaints). Make sure to loosen all 4 set screws in the brushed metal joiner piece with the Allen wrench before putting the poles together. It allows the brushed metal joiner piece to loosen and spin so you can get the screws to line up with the holes. Then screw to tighten the poles together. That’s all there is to it. Gives his room some style and now closet functions much better. Love it.

No screws, no marks, any width, strong and durable!
Finally!!! A tension Curtain rod that actually works! I've bought past tension rods from brand name stores hoping they would work, but I was always leary that it would fall and couldn't withstand the abuse of opening and closing curtains throughout the day everyday. Well finally these RoomDividersNow brand is perfect and is strong even with long heavy curtains. Plus, the fact that it can also expand to really long widths is great. This is perfect for the soundproof room divider curtains that I purchased as well. I placed it between the living room and hallway to dampen noise from the street noise and other room noise and it's worked really really well. No screws, doesn't leave a mark, and you can tell this is a quality rod. Thanks for finally having these available! I'll definitely be buying another!

Really liked this rod at first, but now it's just a major hassle.
My original review is down below. In the six weeks since then, I'm downgrading my original 5-star rating to 1-star. Every few days I come back home to find the entire rod and curtain has fallen down. It's a major inconvenience having to readjust and put it back up. I'm sitting in the guest room now and the rod JUST FELL DOWN AGAIN. I've followed the instructions to extend several inches past what I need and to then compress into place. I'm not hanging anything heavy--just a room divider curtain. But the rod keeps falling down. At this point, I'd rather just stop using it since I don't want to keep putting it back up. No more tension rods for us. We'll install a fixture with permanent rod next. Ironically, we're using a cheap $9 tension rod from a big box store in our kitchen and that has not ONCE fallen down this winter. So much for "you get what you pay for." We're disappointed. ************************************Original Review************************************** I've bought (and discarded) DOZENS of tension rods. They've all been exercises in futility. No matter how you twist them or contort them, they lose their "tension," pelting down with them whatever you had used them to hold up. This tension rod if fantastic, though. We used it to turn a large guest room into a bedroom AND a compact work center. We had no trouble at all putting the rod up. And it snapped into place so securely that even a yank didn't dislodge it. It's currently gracefully holding a fabric room divider with no issues after dozens of divider yankings to open/close. An added bonus: the rod comes with tiny Allen wrenches to aid assembly AND allow you to take off the ends to slide curtains... along the rod.

it works fine but could not take heavy curtain, specially if you use the full length of the rod

Excellent product and company
I was originally upset with the supplier. I had made a mistake in ordering the wrong colour, and tried many times to get in touch with them before it was sent out and they never responded. However, I received an email from them a few days later on where they apologised for the delay in replying, saying that they strive to be excellent and because of that omission they refunded the whole amount back to me! I never asked them for a refund but they did it anyway. That goes to prove that they are a serious company. The rods themselves are excellent. Really high quality, easy to set up and very sturdy. I bought black-out curtains from John Lewis and they support them perfectly. Highly recommend the product and the supplier.

Great rod
This was exactly what I needed for a 9 foot rod. My install instructions were not correct but that's ok, very easy to figure out!

Not sturdy at all and VERY expensive to return
It was not nearly strong enough and our curtains were very light. And it cost nearly $100 to return. Very unhappy and disappointed. I trusted this was an Amazon product... clearly it was not.
