Perfect for alpha 1 gen 1
I have a carbed mercruiser 5.7 vortec with alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive. This impeller costs twice as much as the cheaper Amazon knock off because it is twice as good. I have always ran the cheaper impellers because I change them every season and they generally work. I had one burn up this year so I went and got this one and my boat has literally NEVER cooled this well. Temp wonโt break 160. This is worth the extra money, night and day difference in cooling performance.

OEM quality MerCruiser Alpha 1 Gen1 replacement part. Everything you need and some things you don't because it's a universal kit that works for several models.

OEM is always the answer
No reason not to go OEM for this! Came with every possible gasket and seal I could need. Specifically for my Alpha One Gen 1 it took maybe 25-30 min to completely install. While youโre there check the base plate for wear and the other surrounding items like your water tube. Rather keep the lower unit off for an extra day to get another part than a catastrophic failure.
