Does keep the mosquitoes away. Easy to attach to bug zapper. Stinks REALLY bad so avoid getting it on your hands!!

I installed in my UV light attractor. The amount of bugs I attracted went up.

I added a 2nd lure to our Flowtron bug zapper as the Mosquito’s practically carry you away here in Florida. With 2 lures not even 1 Mosquito was flying around the zapper or lures (spoiler alert!! UV light DOES NOT attract mosquitos. Only these lures do. None of these zappers or dynatraps on the market will control mosquitos populations. Only an effective Octenol lyre will and this one ain’t it! Pick a better or another brand.

I decided to give these a try to use with my mosquito magnet as they were much cheaper than the branded lures. Overall, they fit just like the others in the mosquito magnet and seem to be pretty much the same thing. That said, since switching I’ve not seen any mosquitos in the trap area so I’m not sure if this is lure related or something else. Time will tell after I go through a few more.

So bug zappers will kill many types of insects who fly into the danger zone and touch the charged metal panels. But they have to make the choice to fly into the danger zone. Some bugs are so attracted to the UV light that they will just blindly follow to their demise. Mosquitos... not so much. That is where these come in handy. These produce a smell that mimicks the scent that humans produce that mosquitos are attracted to. And it works. I can always tell when it's time to replace with a new one because I don't hear the bug zapper zapping any more. I switch the old out for a new one and pop pop pop. See ya. Wouldn't want to be ya.
