Itโs not cheap, but after 4-months, the finish is still good and there is plenty left over for future coats. I used a paint roller to do 3 thin coats of sealer over 15sqm of blue black slate. It went on with no trouble and the thin coats ensured no pooling or cloudy patches (this was mentioned in a couple of other reviews).

It performed amazingly on my tumbled rocks. Great product and a little goes a long way.

This stuff is amazing and YES it does have the wet look. When we bought our house, they put in slate tiles in the shower. A few of those tiles were falling apart as they were never treated and they went grey...almost white and i didn't know what to do. I read some reviews and thought I would take a chance and absolutely love how they turned out. Big difference although the photos i took don't do it justice...I did put 3 coats on the tiles and 4 coats where the water typically hits consistently to give it extra protection.

We had just over 600 sq feet of Travertine Natural Stone Tile put in 20 years ago and not being an experienced person in tile maintenance, which you need to be IMHO, well versed in knowing what, when and how to keep it looking great since it can be a phenomenal asset to your home. As you can see by one of the pictures (I'll let you guess which one) that the tile had been sorely neglected and that one picture is actually AFTER I had completely stripped and scrubbed all the wax and sealer off it completely. The Tile actually looked like there was at least some hope, but the grout, well, it is so bad that I worried Amazon would cancel my Prime Membership if they saw it. Nevertheless, it had to be thoughtfully addressed so I used a Grout Refresh product on it and prayed a lot that this project would eventually turn out respectable after the several days, yes, more than many had I spent getting it Sealer-Worthy. This is where the Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer comes in. I do have some, but limited DIY experience with sealers and know they can go horribly wrong (this is where the suicide hotline comes in) then it's a complete disaster to fix. I read a couple of unfavorable reviews with pictures and can only suspect they did something wrong. This sealer is by far the best sealer I've ever used. Follow the clear and concise directions, like don't shake it, don't let it puddle, use specific applicators, I used a pad applicator because they're simple to use and applies the sealer uniformly. Let it dry one hour between applications and apply 3 coats max, all of which I did. This Sealer performed flawlessly as you can easily see. I now have 3 excellent coats of a top-grade sealer and seriously can't believe the outstanding beauty it restored to my Tile. I give Black Diamond Wet Look Stone Sealer 5 solid stars for a superior quality product, ease of application, brilliant, finished look with zero imperfections, fair pricing and restoring my faith in sealers again. Thank you, Black Diamond, I'll be using more of your products in the future.

Hi all - bear with me as I'd like to both slam and praise this product! My main peeve is that the product name is utterly absurd! I do not think it unreasonable to expect a "Natural Stone WET LOOK" sealer to make your natural stone look wet? You know - like the colors are darker and more vibrant, and shiny without changing the texture. It DOES NOT do that!!! Change the name guys!!!! Having said that - it did work very well indeed as a general sealer and finisher: - Very easy to apply with rag, sponge or brush, and good coverage makes it good value - Two coats on a slate floor and it doesn't look any different but it's now completely waterproof and water beads on it. - Ditto with ceramic backsplash and one coat - For a slate backsplash I really wanted an actual wet look as the tiles as they were had a very "dusty" looking finish. 3 coats and they look nice - not dusty, slightly darker, and a medium glossy finish - but I still wouldn't call it a "wet look" by any stretch. Overall a very good product, but I remain completely baffled by the name. What gives?
