THIS BOOK REALLY WORKS!!!
You know what I like the most? Honesty. I love honesty from people that describe their products. This workout journal is bar none the BEST I have ever used. The format is perfect for me. I have included a couple of pics to show how I use it for motivation to others. Please excuse the crappy penmanship but when you're working out and sweating and shaky it's a wonder I can even get anything written--but that's ME not the book! There IS a gripe--and it's a minor one but I AM going to bring it up. Doesn't take me down from the 5 star because I don't whine. But I WILL gripe.They chose to use a metal whatever it's called to bind the book. Well--that's great because it allows you to lie the book flat. But I'm continually having to put the cover BACK ON because it comes out of the binding. That IS annoying. I don't know how to correct that.But as far as the functionality for what it is for...yes. It really does work. I love it, and I don't go the gym without it. I am a FIRM believer in the concept that if you want to progress, you have to monitor your progress, and the only way to do that is to have that right tools and to be able to see where you're coming FROM. If that makes sense...******HUGE EDIT/UPDATE!!!!!!!!!******Came home yesterday to a box on my porch. What was in the box? A brand new logbook! Apparently someone at the company read this review and decided to, without any fanfare, to send me a "replacement" book. They certainly didn't have to do it. But they did. I have been sending the link to this book to people that ask me what do I use to record my workouts. I know add to this 5-star rating that this company obviously reads the reviews and CARES about customer service. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sturdy, formatting excellent
this book has stiff covers and thick pages. I'm buying a replacement for my first one which is all filled up. The book is almost as good as new. Some people have complained that it's flimsy. What have they been doing with it? I tried cell phone exercise apps and found them to be very difficult to use. and far more expensive than this book. But some people like them. I like the fact that each exercise page is basically like an exercise card at the gym. There are some pages in the front to put in body measurements and other stuff. I don't use these but other people might. Basically, before I go to the gym I enter the exercises I plan to do. Then when I'm working out I follow my plan and just enter the weights and sets and any other notes I wish to tell myself. Works for me.

Larger than expected
The book is a great for tracking workouts, if you don't like to track them on your phone. I like tracking my progress and going with a plan and using this book makes it simple. I like the amount of free space, however, the book is larger than a previous one I purchased. The picture on the right is this one, the smaller is one I ordered in the past.

Organized, Efficient, and Plenty of Room to Write
The title says it all. I am incredibly OCD and this book makes logging in workouts a breeze. There is all kinds of space to write in different exercises, 6 rep count/weight cells for each exercise, and it has all kinds of additional info (date, start/end times, cardio, note section, etc.). Not to mention, the physical construction is awesome as well. The spiral keeps pages locked in, the pages are thicker paper, and the whole thing just feels solid. My old book basically fell apart every time I dropped it onto the ground before each set. Some might find a review of a "Fitness Logbook" to be trivial, but it's the little things. If you need a solid logbook and you are serious about lifting/exercising, buy this book. Period.

Good quality , USA made
This is well made I was even just dropping it on the floor and stuff and it seems durable so far. Plenty of room for higher volume workouts.

Held up well
This has held up well to some steady use. I'm not losing pages, the binding it holding up, and it lives in my gym bag. I just wish the cover came in pretty colors.

Useful, practical, and (unlike some others) without any irrelevant nonsense
I have been using this for a year, and will be ordering another. The size is perfect for me - previously I had smaller journals but you have to cram your writing to get everything in those. The spiral binding means you can fold it over or lie it flat. I've seen other brands that are obviously designed by people who do not actually work out because they are full of spaces to record irrelevant nonsense like what you had for breakfast etc. This book just focuses on the basics, and does it well. It would suit people who are into cardio, or weights, or both. If I were to make a suggestion for an improvement it would be this: why not include a pen loop?

Motivates me to do regular weight training when I write it down in a book.

Perfect for Keeping track!
Superb workout log book ... plenty of space for every exercise and number of sets... well made and easy to use. Keeping track of reps and weight used for every workout is helping me with progressive overload. I'd be lost without it.

Keeps me on track!
Happy with this book, allows me to track my workouts. I adapt the columns to record the way I want to but it does the job. Really like the hardback cover for durability.
