Q: It smells like anti freeze...is it?

I’m 99% sure that you can substitute Quality RV antifreeze in place of this stuff. It just needs to be the good stuff that’s $3-6 a gallon. Not the ultra cheap alcohol based stuff. And you are good to go! That’s what all the pumps in a RV use and these sprayers are similar in many ways.

Q: graco pump armour is for storing your machine long term, what exactly is a long term storage? 1 month? 2 months? 3 months?

I use the pump treatment anytime the sprayer is not to be used for a week. I always use it when I finish painting. I have used it for storage longer than 3 months. My sprayer is now 8 years old and I have never had any problems with it.

Q: Does this stuff expire? I have one that is about 5 years old and I was wondering if I can still use it?

Not sure if it expires but I have used my old one up which was 6 years old and my sprayer has been working like a champ even beyond the maintenance schedule

Q: is this for a diaphragm pump too? Or just a piston pump sprayer?

I don't know, but the container says "Storage and Freeze Protection for Airless Pumps."
