What is the different between the 2021 version vs the older version?

We had an older version, and it seem to have a flawed joint at hip-leg. It broke soon after purchased. I found many other people were experiencing the same break. Because I hadn’t purchased it directly from American girl, in a phone conversation, they said they were not going to replace it. I decided to pay and send it in as a hospital doll repair. They decided at that point to send a new doll. Welliewishers newer doll his now good!. It should be okay to purchase now.
