The blades are sharp; it cuts well
To be honest, I had my doubts about buying this, since the price was so low (a decent knife costs more than this). I bought it specifically to slice my homemade basturma. I can say right off the bat that I am pleased with the results. I mainly use the thin-slicing setting, and it cuts superbly. I haven't quite mastered slicing bread with it yet, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. The main thing is just learning how to use it properly. It is easy to clean and comes apart for disassembly perfectly. The blades are sharp—I do not recommend testing them with your fingers!

Thin slices all day!
I honestly really love this meat slicer. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but it actually works way better than I thought it would. The blade is super sharp and slices meat nice and smooth without tearing it. I really like that I can adjust the thickness depending on what I’m making thin for sandwiches and a little thicker for snacks. I’ve also used it for cheese and even vegetables, and it handles everything really well. It feels sturdy on the counter and doesn’t slide around while I’m using it. Cleaning is not as hard as I expected, especially since the blade comes off. It’s been saving me trips to the deli and money too. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.

Use Vegetable/Canola Oil for Lubrication
Love the deli slicer! Especially for this price! Just I noticed 2 things that i had issues with while using it, 1 is the slider, it worked smoothly for a bit until it started to get stuck on some parts during cutting of the deli foods (high friction on it) until I lubricated it with vegetable oil on the slider and it now slides super smoothly. The 2nd thing is the knob would get stuck on being 2mm higher than normal so at 3mm its cutting at 1mm and 4mm on the knob is 2mm thick and so on, I see some reviews talking about it as well but most likely itll need lubrication as well (use vegetable oil or canola oil since those are food safe lubricants for mechanical parts, i dont recommend wd40)

Home Deli Slicing on a Budget
Looking to skip the deli counter and achieve restaurant-quality sliced meats at home? I recently bought the Elite Gourmet EMT-625B Electric Deli Food Meat Slicer, and here's my experience: Pros: Affordable Option: This slicer is priced significantly lower than high-end models, making it attractive for home cooks who want occasional deli-style slicing. Adjustable Thickness: The slicer offers a good range of thickness adjustments, from razor-thin to half-inch slices, allowing you to customize for sandwiches, salads, or jerky. Easy to Use: The controls are simple and straightforward. It comes with an on/off switch and a knob for adjusting the slice thickness. Compact Design: The slicer doesn't take up too much counter space, making it suitable for smaller kitchens. Detachable Blade for Cleaning: The stainless steel blade is removable for easier cleaning although it does make a mess. Cons: Limited Power: This slicer might struggle with very dense meats or thick cuts. Not Ideal for Heavy Use: Some reviewers mentioned concerns about the motor overheating with prolonged use. It's better suited for occasional slicing tasks. May Not Be Stable with Heavy Meats: The slicer can feel a bit lightweight when handling larger or heavier cuts of meat. Cleaning Can Be Tricky: While the blade is detachable, cleaning around the food carriage can be a bit messy, especially in the screw holes underneath the blade, (which is easily removeable) Overall: The Elite Gourmet EMT-625B is a decent budget option for home cooks who want to enjoy occasional deli-style sliced meats, cheeses, or vegetables. It's easy to use, adjustable, and compact. However, keep in mind its limitations: it may not handle heavy duty slicing tasks and might require more cleaning effort. Here are some additional things to consider before buying: How often will you be using the slicer? What types of foods do you plan to slice? Do you have limited counter space? How important is a high-powered slicer for frequent use? If you're a budget-conscious home cook looking for a basic slicer for occasional use, the Elite Gourmet EMT-625B could be a good fit. But for frequent slicing or heavy-duty tasks, you might want to consider a more powerful and stable slicer.

Probably works on meat ..not so much on bread
I am fastidious when it comes to cleaning things I have worked in a commercial kitchens and meat processing plants.. my job was sanitizing. This device has countersunk assembly screws with no cover which allows bread and meat and fats to get stuck in there that you have to clean out or you'll end up getting contamination.. NOT GOOD 🤨when you take the blade off to clean behind it.. "blade which is easy to remove" however there's a lot of holes and tiny nooks and crannies that you have to go in and use a q-tip or a small pic and clean out everything around the screw holes or you'll start growing bad things.. also the blade seems to be rubbing against the back of the housing as you can see in the picture. I have not used anything heavy just slicing bread so I'm going to contact the manufacturer and see what's going on with that. I guess like everything you have expectations and people don't make things exactly the way you think they should.. I bought it to slice my fresh baked bread and it sliced it but not that great a job.. however if I were slicing meat with this you would have to tear it down and take a detailed cleaning job at least 15 to 20 minutes to wash it out clean it and sanitize it and store it until the next time otherwise you will have things growing behind the blade that will contaminate your next cutting.

Easy to use and clean
This meat slicer is a great introduction into having a slicer. I didn’t really want to spend a lot until I was sure we could use one. My first use was actually slicing some homemade sourdough bread with a too hard exterior. Definitely worked better than the electric knife while being able to get thinner, more consistent cuts. Used it to make shaved pork loin roasts for sandwiches. There’s a learning curve to figuring out how to hold what you’re slicing in order to get even cuts. Never did get it right on the shaved meat, but thicker meat slices are easier to keep consistent. It was very easy and relatively self explanatory to set up. The blade sharp and is easy to pull out to clean. The platform is meant to stay level with the blade when not in use significantly reducing the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. I’ve been very pleased so far.

Flawless Cuts in Minutes
Great first slicer for someone who wants accurate cuts without spending much. Good power and adjustable slicing makes it standout. Excellent all-around choice for sandwiches, cold cuts, mozzarella, and crusty bread. Very easy to operate and made out of good materials. Blade is sturdy and sharp. Love it.

Not worth it
I had high hopes for this deli slicer, but it has been nothing but frustrating. First, it struggles to slice evenly — even when adjusting the thickness dial carefully, the slices come out inconsistent. Trying to slice something as simple as turkey breast or cheese turns into a mess of uneven pieces. The motor also sounds strained, even with soft foods. It feels underpowered and occasionally slows down mid-slice. That’s concerning from both a performance and safety standpoint. Cleaning is another huge issue. The blade is difficult to remove, and food gets stuck in hard-to-reach crevices. For a kitchen appliance that’s supposed to handle raw meats, that’s unacceptable. It takes far longer to clean than it does to use. Overall, it feels cheaply made, not sturdy, and definitely not worth the price. I would not recommend this slicer and regret purchasing it.
