Really good product, easy to mould, good 1/2 hour working time and sets hard. As good as repaircare/timababuild expoxies without the eye watering price tag.

I had some very rotten windows and a decaying front door but no interest in using highly toxic chemicals to repair them and nowhere near enough money to replace them. After much research I found this. I closely watched a four part YouTube video on how to use it best (recommended) found a UK supplier on Amazon and then set to work in the hot dry weather of earlier this year. It's worth doing the proper prep work if you want it to last but that's true of any job. I sanded off the old paint (pretty much gone anyway) removed all the most rotten wood, drilled holes into the remaining frames/door (angled down where necessary to ensure maximum absorption) and coated all the wood and drill holes very liberally in PC Woody's wood hardener, which true to description has hardly any smell. I let it cure for a few days to very hard since even a spring heat wave doesn't match Arizona desert temperatures and drying time for both hardener and filler is temperature dependent. Then I took a glob from each of the epoxy wood filler tins in a 1:1 ratio mixed well and applied. It isn't the easiest stuff to apply, especially since I was replacing so much of the wood - I had to do it in layers. I recommend wearing latex gloves or similar as it's very sticky, but also true to advertising it doesn't have to be super smooth as it sands down really well and easily when fully dried. I also tried sawing and drilling it and that works too. It smells slightly while drying but nothing to notice (less than low VOC paint). For the record if you add slightly more brown than white it's more malleable but takes longer to dry and vice versa. And don't expect it to harden as fast as it would in a very hot dry climate, but once it does it's rock solid (again I left it a few days). Although the tins look tiny they do more than you'd think. After sanding and painting the windows and doors look like new. You can't tell what's the wood and what's the filler. But it won't look like natural wood without a bit of artistry if you aren't painting it. I'm so pleased there's a non toxic solution to fixing/filling rotten wood that doesn't carry danger of death warnings all over the tin. Yes it's a lot more expensive, but what price health?

This worked well for me. Make sure you use separate applicators and mix on a tile. I kept amounts small always using separate trowel for each and mixing with a third. The tile was genius kept it cool (I was working in hot sunshine). Wear gloves and be ready to go go go ..completely sealed my very damaged window sill.

I love this putty for repairing damaged wood externally. It's so much better than standard wood filler and the how to videos you can find on YouTube are great.

I have used Abatron WoodEpox before, and thought PC-Woody would be similar. It's not - it's MUCH harder to apply cleanly because it's so very sticky. I ended up with a very rough surface, and filler sticking to the surrounding wood. Also holes in the main body of the filler that will need a second application. No doubt it will sand down and I can use a surface filler on the holes but Abatron WoodEpox would have been quicker and easier. Never again!

Used to recover damaged garden furniture wood, great adhesion and shaped up beautifully to a perfect finish.

Haven't actually used it yet but has clear instructions. There was a slight delay in customs but seller was easy to contact

I used this to repair a wooden garden bridge that was beginning to get a bit week in places. I was cutting out old rotten wood and replacing it with new wood and PC Woody. To date the repairs have been really strong. Would recommend or perhaps WOOD recommend.

Got this because of how many great reviews I read on this stuff, and also because touted by some woodworking magazines. Now, it can be a bit tricky to spread as it really is sticky and gooey like thick cold peanut butter once mixed. But spreads well, you can shape it well and it is SOLID. Has endured really hot summer sun and heat, rain, snow, and is also enduring bitter cold this winter. It hardens well and really strengthens any gaps and holes. What surprised me most was how well it takes a satin. Used this on my deck to fill in some big knot holes. Was afraid that when staining my deck (dark walnut), the puttied spots would be glaringly light colored but actually not too bad. It soaks up enough stain to help blend the spots well enough. It won't soak up stain as well as wood and will stay a bit on the light side, but certainly acceptable, at least for me. All around, very satisified so far.

Great product, used to fix some damaged wood

I am not a carpentry expert or furniture maker, but that said, I am very pleased and satisfied with this product. It is easy to portion out the two compounds in equal amounts because of their peanut butter like consistency and having each a different color that when blended completely becomes a slightly different color is a real benefit. I also really appreciate the very mild epoxy odor and true 30 minute work window you have to work with the mix - much better than any other two part epoxy I have ever worked with. Applying it is the real test of one's patience if your skills in that area aren't first rate. That frustration aside, I cannot argue with the results - And as long as I gave the recommended time to cure after application It has terrific adhesion, cures up good and hard but is easily sanded into a smooth, clean surface that paints up quite well. I personally cannot think of any other product I could have used to get as good a result as this one. The only downside this product had for me was the difficulty I had applying it - it just sticks to anything it touches and I had a difficult time applying it smoothly and uniformly without a lot of fussing. That's probably more an indictment of my skills than a criticism of the product. Despite this frustration, I will turn to it again without hesitation when the need arises - the final results are worth it.

I bought this product to repair some rotted wood around my door frame. Removed the bad wood, applied a wood hardener, and several applications of the PC WOODY epoxy. Was easy to apply and easy to sand. The end product looked great and fit with the original frame. Not sure how it will hold up. If I have other similar projects I will definitely use PC WOODY.

Works well and is holding up on exterior wood. Better than Bondo IMO
