Hycosan Night is a sterile, preservative free, phosphate free, vitamin A eye ointment that also contains liquid paraffin, light liquid paraffin, wool fat and white soft paraffin. It is used for moderate to severe dry eye and mostly recommended for night time use. It contains retinol palmitate (vitamin A), liquid paraffin, light liquid paraffin, wool fat and white soft vaseline. Parrafin is obtained by distillation from petroleum or shale and used in candles, cosmetics, polishes, and sealing and waterproofing compounds.

What percent wool fat/ lanolin?

When I first started using this, the ingredients were on the tube. I looked at the tube just now and there are no ingredients listed on the tube. They are on the leaflet. The leaflet and the internet are listed as: 250 I.U./g Retinol Palmitate (Vitamin A), Liquid Paraffin, Light Liquid Paraffin, Wool Fat and White Soft Paraffin. The percent is not listed either place. This is a very good product, however I have found a combination that works even better. I use this in the morning (if I am not going out) and in the evening. I have better results if I put gel drops in both eyes about 1 hour after the Hycosan. My eyes are severely dry and sometimes I will use gel drops 3 or 4 times a day. Eyes feel great after that. There are no percentages listed just ingredients. If the listing follows USA ingredient listing the first ingredient would be the highest percentage of the ingredients in the formula and the last ingredient would be the least amount of that ingredient in the formula.
