I love this room now!
I had a couch and chair that I really liked, but they were stained and faded. The structure was great, but over the years, the cats had ripped the arms to shreds, and stuff got spilled...it was pretty tacky, and I was too embarrassed to put them out on the street! So one day while cruising Amazon. I ran across these slipcovers. I went back and forth on a solid or a print. But, because of all the pillows that I have, a print wouldn't work. So solid it was. Then I went back and forth on the size. Since the arms were so overstuffed, would the regular chair and sofa sizes fit or should I go the extra size. I read where it was really stretchy, so I took a chance on the regular sizes. Then, I went back and forth on the color - can I trust the teal or should I go with the tan? I again threw caution to the wind and got the teal. They arrived promptly and in excellent packaging - can definitely reuse those babies! I tackled the chair first, and I have to admit it took me awhile to figure it out, even with the video and detailed instructions. But once I got the concept, it went pretty smoothly. I had to really tug to get the cover situated over the big stuffed arms, but the fabric doesn't looked like it is strained. BUT. The inside back of my chair does not have a cushion - the pillow is the cushion, so the back of the chair doesn't fit very well - lots of loose hanging material - but it is against the wall, so it doesn't matter. An appropriate cushion in the back would have been the perfect solution. The same with the couch. The front looks great, fits really snugly and doesn't look pulled. The seat cushions went on fairly easily, and stay in place great. The elastic on these is excellent! The teal color, as it turns out, worked great with the pillows. The fabric is very soft. It does seem to attract lint and (I assume) cat hair and stuff, but I'll just have to keep a lint brush handy. It took me a couple of hours to put these covers on, but I'll bet most people can get it done in half the time. All in all, I love this product, and highly recommend it to change the room!

I've had this slipcover for a few days. It's VERY soft and easy to put on. I'm impressed with how well it fits the arms and clean lined frame of my apartment sized couch. How smooth the overall look is will largely depend on how firm your cushions are. My seat cushions look perfect in their separate cover. The back cushions look a tiny bit lumpy because ..they're a tiny bit lumpy. Overall, it's really attractive and a huge improvement on the uncovered couch. I got the gray and it's a medium-dark blue-leaning gray. As you can see, there are squares to the fabric but it doesn't look nearly as checkered in person as it does in the photos. If you're debating sizes, I would say if you don't have pets, definitely size down rather than up. The fabric is really stretchy and you'll get a much nicer look not having extra material. Because the fabric is thin, particularly the areas between the squares, in order to allow it to stretch to fit, you may want to size up if your furniture is between sizes and you have pets whose nails may scratch or puncture. I'm happy with the initial quality, and we'll see how it holds up.

If You Have L-Shaped Cushions...
The two-piece cover may not work for you. My sofa is on the larger side, but is still 6+ inches shorter than the recommended maximum length of 92" for this product. The bottom portion fit fine - it could probably go another foot if needed. Definitely not a tailored look, but a vast improvement over my inexplicably peeling newer, mid-grade pleather couch. The fabric is as stretchy as they claim, it feels soft and is comfortable to sit upon, the color is nice (Coffee), and the pattern fits passably into my decor. In theory, this is a good alternative until I decide if I want to reupholster or replace. However, there is one problem that makes this pretty unusable for me, and since I'm not one to go through the hassle of repacking and returning less expensive items, I'm just left pretty disappointed. The issue is that the second piece, meant to cover the cushions, is simply too small. Mostly, it is too short. I think it's because I have L-shaped cushions. You'll note that the product photo on display has plain, square cushions. Which I did see when I ordered, but because I couldn't find any mention of which type of cushions this is (or is not) compatible with, nor could I find another listing for L-cushioned sofas, I assumed this item would work for me. But it doesn't. In fact, even if I cut my cushions into squares, I don't think this would cover the depth of the cushions either - the front hangs out. So, if your couch is on the smaller side and/or you have squared cushions that aren't very deep, I can fully recommend this as a reasonably attractive, affordable option to extend the life of your sofa.

Love it, fits perfectly to cover up the 20+ yr old red couch. Kept it for kids area. Like the grey too. Thinking about getting covers for my lounges.
