This is a high-quality knife, good balance, smooth operation, stays locked. Easy to fold. It's been my everyday carry for a while now. The orange grip makes sure I never misplace it. The clip is sturdy when I'm clipping inside my hip pocket. Blade stays sharp. Overall, this is an excellent knife at a great price. I bought it to replace a Benchmade Mini Griptilillian I accidentally broke the blade on and never got it fixed. I've had other inexpensive knives that quit locking or seize up, and this one has been an absolute champ.

I bought two of these in carbon fiber back when Ganzo was a fledgling company. When I saw them for the same price or less all these years later, I wondered how they were doing it. The answer? It's smaller. Buy this knife if you're already familiar with knives and know how to maintain them. The upside: You get a good-looking beater knife that's sharp out of the box. The blade steel is dated, but it's stainless and sharpens easily. The downside: You're unfortunately going to be the last step in the manufacturing process. These things ship dry as a bone, and the action will be very stiff. If you want to flick this knife open and shut, you'll need to disassemble, clean, and lube everything. After a minor amount of adjustment during reassembly, the action works as desired.

GANZO really gives you good quality knives at the price point. They don’t use super premium materials, but they use good materials, and more importantly they have good quality knives. The fit & finish is always good, they have at least minimal HRC, and a lot of different variations. They been strong for a decade for a reason. This is a 7” knife 3” on the blade, 4” on the handle. Very lightweight at 2.8oz, strong detent, good action, and sharp out box. Ergos feel good on hand with a slim handle, good tension on the reversible pocket clip. Making this knife totally ambidextrous. Another good offering from Ganzo, they know who they are and give you affordable knives with nice quality.

I don't normally review items but this deserves it. First off when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised in the package it came in. It came in a nice box similar to what other knives come in that are ten times the cost of this knife. Inside the box was the knife and a little draw string cloth tote of which I wont be using but is still nice. They also included a bandaid which I thought was a funny little touch. Now for the knife itself. I didn't have very high expectations because of the price range but I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality. The action is smooth with zero grittiness and flawless lock up. There is zero blade play when open and when closed it is perfectly centered. The blade retention is right on point and I have no worries about the knife opening in my pocket. Out of the box you won't be easily able to flick the knife open and close and the access lock will most likely be alittle stiff. You can bend the access lock springs to make it less stiff but I'd use caution as this may make the lock too loose causing unintended unlocks when using the knife. You can also adjust the pivot screws to flick the knife open and closed easier but it's finite and too much will cause blade play. The hardware and thumb studs are an anodized blue and the pocket clip is a standard affair that offer left or right tip up carry. The blade itself is 440c with a dull polish that's done very well with Lazer etched logos on both sides of the blade. The knife out of the box was sharp but not hair popping sharp so I reprofiled the edge to 40 degrees inclusive and it flies through my arm hair. The knife takes an adge very well and wasn't difficult to sharpen. I bought this knife as a beater because of the price and I feel it's one of the best super budget knives you could get. I'm not a fan of Ganzos copy cat knives but this one is a nice step in the right direction. I've tried to think of cons but it's next to impossible at this price point, if I had to think of one it would be the placement of the thumb studs. They could have been placed differently for a better thumb purchase for opening. Other than that you get a lot of bang for your buck and I'm personally more than satisfied with this little gem.

Best bang for the buck! Ganzo takes “budget EDC” to the next level with the quality and materials you get for the cost. As an avid knife guy I much more enjoy carrying a quality blade that doesn’t break the bank in case it’s lost or damaged. I will do things with this knife that I will never do with my Spyderco knife collection because of the cost. I own 4 Ganzo knives and they are made well. There is nothing wrong with their 440c and let’s be honest, most folks including me don’t need an uber steel for their daily needs. The Ganzo 440c is easily sharpened and holds an edge well for the blade steel chemistry. The action is stiff initially… it needs to break in. Use some KPL in the pivot and play with it for a little while. It breaks in very nicely indeed.

First, a little about me: I'm left handed, 5'9", and 160 lbs. I'm not tiny, but I'm not a giant by any means. I don't like carrying +3.5" blades. Bigger knives don't fit in my hand well and take up too much space in my pocket. I'm not a knife snob, but I appreciate quality. So that's where I'm coming from and how I'm framing my review. Here are the pros: - Great price for the high build quality - 440C steel is better than most all blades with 8Cr13Mov or AUS-8 (these steels are common in other knives of this price). It holds an edge fairly well. Initial testing puts edge retention noticeably above my Chinese Kershaws and just a skosh below my Benchmade Presidio (also 440C). I think my Benchmade wins by a hair because of the way the blade is ground, or maybe Benchmade has slightly better heat treating. - Perfect size. 3" blades are the goldilocks size for me. - Tip up carry. This is the best way to carry a knife in your pocket. - Reversible pocket clip. Hooray for lefties! - G-lock is a copy of Benchmade's Axis lock, and it's totally legal since the patent has expired. G-lock/Axis is probably the best ambidextrous locking system. Hooray for lefties! - Blade centering is spot on. Cheap linerlocks are often off center because the locking mechanism pushes the blade to the side, but the G-lock mechanism doesn't push the blade to the side. - Good blade shape. It's very similar (some say it's a copy) to what ProTech uses on some of their knives. I'm okay with the homage, since it's a nice shape and they aren't breaking any laws. - Smooth action. It's not bearings, but pretty smooth, and the washers will be more resistant to dirt and pocket lint. - Neat color scheme (I got the green, and it has blue anodized screws and thumb stud) - G-10 scales feel nice and grippy, but won't tear up your pants pocket with abrasion - Lanyard hole is actually big enough to stick paracord through without too much trouble Here are the cons (this is why I took a star off, even though it's a great knife): - The blade arrived dull. Really dull. It was so dull I'd have felt fine tossing the open knife to my 6 year old nephew (it was still pointy, so maybe not). It took me 45 minutes to get it sharp. To be honest, I was going to sharpen it anyway to get my preferred angle on it, but this may be an issue for people that don't have a good sharpening jig or just expect their tools to come sharp. - The pivot washers are one Teflon (or something similar) and one bronze. I realize that this is a budget knife, but I'd be willing to pay five cents more to have two bronze washers. Ganzo/Firebird beats expectations on pretty much the entire rest of the knife, and this is where they choose to cut a corner? Here are some nits (they aren't a big deal, but just to note that you don't get absolute perfection): - The blue anodizing on the hardware isn't perfectly consistent. You won't notice unless you're admiring the blade up close under good lighting. Your friends will never notice the shade differences unless you tell them. - Not a deep carry pocket clip. Ganzo/Firebird does have some models with a deep carry clip, but they aren't reversible. The current clip works fine, but the knife will stick out of your pocket by 3/8" when carrying it.

This is the most practical of all the china made knives I've tried lately. Some background: I prefer to carry my knives in a pocket without clips, am left handed and don't like flippers that much. The build quality is honestly perfect, but it's the design of this one that sets it apart. It's much smaller and lighter in the hand and pocket than most of the related knives and yet the blade is large enough to be very useful, with a wide slightly hollow blade grind making this knife a really efficient cutting tool. The axis lock springs are perfect, the lock can be easily released with pressure on one side of the lock, but have plenty of force to keep the knife closed. I like the colored screws and the texture of the G10 scales, again, this is a knife much better in the hand than it looks on paper. I own plenty of high end knives that I worry too much about losing to carry frequently. This one is affordable enough that I can just use it without stress. I'm happy with the 'old fashioned' 440C steel, but this knife is so good I'd encourage them to make a alternate version with a trendy boutique blade material to sell at a higher price point. I've tried knives from 4 different china brands recently and while they're all astonishingly good for the money, Ganzo has impressed me the most for quality / cost.

This is a solid budget knife for the price and steel type. Out the box, the Axis lock springs are too tight, and the pivot screws need to be loosed up, as the blade does not open and close smoothly out of box. If I didn't have Torx 8 for the pin and Torx 6 for the frame screws, I would not have been able to make adjustments. I took apart the knife and slightly adjusted the Axis springs on both sides, lubed up the brass and plastic (teflon?) washers and placed everything back together. No more stiff lock. After this, the blade opens with a firm flick and closes and stays closed solidly. It's a pretty knife and has done great so far on food and cardboard. Still sharp after a weeks multiple use. The packaging is decent with a microfiber clothe cinch bag and box. Not too much branding; a firebird logo on one side, and Ganzo name, model, and steel on the other. The pocket clip is firm and holds to my jeans pants and nylon shorts pocket edge with no issues. It's a solid 3.5-4 star knife that needs work out the box.

Hier werdet ihr eindeutig über den Tisch gezogen..... Alle Angaben zu dem Messer sind falsch... Ich hab handschuhgröße 11 und hab mir das Messer nach den größenangaben bestellt.....klinge 7.6cm Gesamtlänge 17.8cm....das nenne ich klare Kundentäuschung... Das Messer ansich ist hervorragend verarbeitet...hat eine schöne Form und ist technisch einwandfrei.....keine Frage ein tolles Messer für maximal Handschuhgröße 8 bis max 9.ich fühl mich hier echt verarscht. Ich hab 12 ganzo Messer und bin mit allen voll zufrieden aber hier wurde ich total enttäuscht.....
