I finally took the plunge and bought the Tangle Teezer Ultimate Detangler Brush (Millennial Pink) because my wavy, virgin hair gets dry, frizzy, and very tangled — especially after washing or air-drying. After using this brush for a while, I can honestly say it’s one of the best hair tools I’ve added to my routine. I use this brush both in the shower with conditioner and on dry hair before styling, and it performs beautifully either way. On wet hair, it glides through thick knots without pulling or tugging. On dry hair — which used to be a battle zone — it detangles smoothly without that awful snatching or pain most brushes give. Because my hair gets so dry and frizzy, knots were a daily struggle. I used to dread brushing because it would yank and break strands. With the Tangle Teezer, that’s basically a non-issue now. It feels gentle and flexible, and I notice way less breakage — and less pulling at the roots. It’s kind of insane how much more comfortable brushing becomes with this design. My waves tend to look frizzy and undefined after brushing, but this brush detangles without flattening or ruining my wave pattern. It keeps my texture intact, which is such a relief. After brushing, my waves still have movement and shape, not that weird stretched-out look some brushes give. The shape fits nicely in my hand, and the bristles are firm enough to get through knots but soft enough that it’s not painful. The Millennial Pink color is just a cute bonus — it looks fun on my vanity and surprisingly feels more luxury-like than my old cheap brushes. Surprisingly durable and good for thick curly hair. I’ve been looking for a new hairbrush for over two years and this is the first one that can actually get through my hair better than my veteran brush. It doesn’t tear out hardly any hair and it’s very easy to clean which I love. Comfortable to hold and light enough that I can use it to start my hair. It’s a cute pretty bush color and it’s a bit shiny. Good quality brush, and I love that it’s meant for use on a variety of hair types. Great brush! It detangles my wet hair quickly and painlessly without pulling. Easy to use, comfortable to hold, and very good quality. Definitely worth the purchase.

Good hairbrush. I love how it feels against my scalp. I like how it doesn’t have the little “balls” at the end of the bristles, so hair and such doesn’t get stuck and the brush stays clean. Very lightweight. From my family’s experience, this brush is great for hair textures 1A- 3C. We haven’t tried on 4A-4C. Detangles very well. I wish the quality were a tad bit better, mine cracked after being dropped on hard wood, and a couple of my daughter’s bristles bent. I also think it’s worth a little less than $15. I still would buy again, and I do recommend.

I'm coming up on age 64, here's some bonafides about my hair: * My hair WAS naturally dark blonde/light brown. I've been home-dyeing it red (warm red since 1998, before finally finding my perfect cool red just four years ago) Within 4 months of going cool (And LOVING it!) the grays started coming in (Of course...). Within a year it was like stray-gray whack-a-mole. After I retired I decided to stop with the red since I no longer had to consider co-workers asking "So... What's up with your hair?" I realized, though I may never have all-over gray, silver or white like I hope, I just didn't have the energy to fight anymore. So, like Elsa, I just let it go. *My hair length is midway down my back but needs about 4-5" cut off (I let it go, alright!). From the root to about 2/5 down it's silver over light brown with white taking over around my face and nape. I still have 3/5 length from the bottom-up that's faded cool red to let grow out and trim off before I can make any concrete decisions about what to do with whatever remains. * My hair is naturally wavy but it goes frizzy/straight when blown dry. So, I've had "problem texture" all my life. I have a lot of hair but I also have the kind of texture that makes it seem like even more when blown dry (Poof City). Meanwhile, my hair STRANDS are each thinner than cobweb filament. If I let my hair down, the slightest breeze creates chaos, with hair in my eyes and mouth - So I NEVER wear it down. And decades of dyeing equals decades of damage, I can't recall ever having shine or smooth hair, naturally, even before I colored my hair. I used to fall for every hair product gimmick. NOTHING made my hair look any different once it was blown dry. Until now. I ordered this wet/dry plastic bristle brush on a whim when ordering other stuff I needed. I expected nothing from my impulse buy (reviews were so positive... yeah, yeah...yawn). It was a month before I got it - but it wasn't like I was over here panting with expectation so, imagine my shock when I got this ordinary-looking tool, went to use IT on my just-washed hair, and had an incredible experience. I've used it on my wet hair four times, so far. But this is what I've experienced from each use: * Working from the tips to scalp, untangling all of my hair took SECONDS and was so EASY, * Compared to the comb, my bathroom sink had no broken off hair bits that I could see - and only a few naturally shed strands, post comb-thru. I really couldn't believe that. Still can't, * After drying my hair, I don't know how, but the texture is smoother and the overall appearance is MUCH shinier, even the grays! * The brush DOES seem to make my hair less POOFY and after I remove my chignon scrunchy my hair IS a bit flatter - BUT the overall effect is hair that's far more controlled than chaotic, and the curls and waves are surprisingly... glam, without effort. Literally NOTHING else about my hair care has changed. I'm using the same budget shampoo/conditioner (brand/formula/cost, has never made any difference) 6 days a week and violet shampoo/mask (to brighten the look of my incoming grays) on day 7. All that's changed is the switch from comb to THIS BRUSH. Every time I let my hair down in front of the mirror I think, 'How can this brush do all this?' It just doesn't LOOK like anything special. I highly recommend this brush for anyone - but especially people who use any chemical treatments, battle frizz, have long hair, damage, or wiry grays. THIS BRUSH surprised me. It might surprise you, too.

My 6 year old granddaughter loves this detangling hairbrush. It’s really good quality and it gets out the tangles is wet or dry hair. I also have one for about three years and it works great and still going strong.

Light weight brush great quality and easy to grip. It works for all of your hair very versatile. I have curly hair, my daughters one is fine and slicky, the other very thick and more coarse. When we are traveling we can pack this one brush and works for everyone.

I have been using Tangle Teezer brushes for as long as I can remember. I originally used the detangler without a handle for almost 14 years, until I decided to buy the one with the handle because I have really thick curly hair and many times I have experienced detangling my hair, the brush getting stuck on a knot and flying out of my hands 😭 I also loved the baby pink colour. Now that I have this one, I’m never going back - while this is perfect for detangling (which I only do in the shower now - curly girl tip!) I have found that this brush works best for styling for me personally. I’ve tried the Denman, I’ve tried that flex brush, but I always go back to my trusty Tangle Teezer - it separates my curls so perfectly and makes them look so smooth and pretty! Get this if you have thick curly hair, it’s so worth it as it’s so versatile!!
