Buy a standard pipe nipple - do not use the one they send you!
DO NOT use the provided straight-thread nipple!!! It will not hold water and will leak in your wall, despite how much teflon tape and pipe goop you put on it. Figure out the correct length of standard pipe nipple and use that instead!!! Save yourself 3 hours of frustration and insanity. We were about ready to scream.
