I’ve never been able to apply eyeliner successfully to my waterline until this. I watched a YouTube video on application and the jist is just that you need to shake off excess first. Then gently take it out of the applicator. I took the point of the applicator to the inside corner of my eye. Then I closed my eyelids around the applicator. After that I dragged the side carefully across and to the outside corner of my eye. The right eye is going to be easier for someone who is right handed. And the left eye will be easier for left handed people. It takes me several passes to get a clean even line but it definitely works and stays on all day. I put this on before any other makeup. The fallout is easy to clean up with a makeup remover wipe or whatever. It’s easy for me to use now. The color is deep and pitch black. I’m very pleased with it. The only thing I don’t like is that getting it in my eyeball is unavoidable and while it doesn’t burn or anything, it’s just kind of annoying. I like that it gives a different look the next day, like a regular liner under the lashes. It’s worth every penny for this look!!

I honestly love this eyeliner, but I won’t lie — there is a learning phase. It took a few tries (and a bit of mess) before I figured out how to use it properly. Once it clicked, though, I completely stopped using regular eyeliner. The charcoal feels incredibly gentle and calming on my eyes, which was a big surprise for me. One of my favorite things is that I don’t need to apply it every day. I’ll put it on, sleep with it, and wake up with my eyes still feeling comfortable and refreshed. It really stays put. The trick I learned is tapping most of the excess powder off the applicator against the inside of the jar before pulling it out. After that, it’s just about using light pressure and smoothly gliding it along the waterline with closed eyes. I love how it lines both the top and bottom waterline at the same time. I usually apply it first, then gently clean up any loose powder with oil before doing the rest of my routine. Yes, it can be messy in the beginning, but it’s easy to clean and gets much better once you learn how much powder to use. If it’s messy, it usually just means there was too much powder on the applicator. Once it’s set on the waterline, it lasts for days. Honestly, it makes sense why this type of eyeliner has been used for thousands of years — it really works. The wooden jar and applicator are beautiful and feel very natural and grounding to use. It’s practical but also elegant, and it’s become a meaningful part of my self-care routine. The powder lasts a very long time, and the fact that it can be refilled easily makes it a great value. Overall, this feels like a real upgrade from modern makeup and something I’ll continue using long-term.

This is an EXCELLENT product. Good for your eyes, made all natural. Lasts for days, properly applied and wont irritate the eyes. Literally good for them, unlike other eyeliners, even on your water line. Read the other reviews which explain how to use it. Have a little patience, there is a learning curve. Tap the excess off the dipper tool or you ll make a mess. First time i went out with it two people asked what eyeliner i was wearing. The deep black look from ancient times, made that same way as always. Really a piece of beauty history and a health product as much as beauty product. You will not be disappointed. It’s the blackest black! Think ancient Egyptian eyeliner or Arabic. Same formula. It will forever replace whatever you have been using. The company selling it is SO fantastic too.
