Works and is cute
Cute. Works. The light is quite dim, on the low setting, as I wanted. I can see to get Pjs and deal with the dog. Could not read comfortably, but who wants to read with a pink lamp? The high setting is barely brighter, but I only actually care about the dim setting, so it meets my needs fine. Bed reading requires a neck lamp, anyway. It’s on my little metal bedside shelf, and any bump to the shelf turns it on. It’s not too bright, and I have it set to turn off after 20 minutes, so that is fine. I docked a star, as it doesn’t work perfectly, but it’s not expensive, and is perfectly adequate.

Great nightlight for anyone who can't sleep
These great little animals aren't just handy for children, they make funny and useful night lights for seniors or other family members who may be awake in the night. I've given 4 of them as gifts and will get more - someday for me, too!

Much beloved in this house. 6-year-old loves and sleeps well thanks to this thing. Soft, cute, affordable. Battery lasts all night, but ours is continually plugged in.
