I bought this home gym during a sale and got it for under a grand. Considering the price of the higher tier home gyms you get a lot for the price of this one. The frame components are strong and fairly well machined. Welds are decent and the paint is good. The cables, pulleys, etc. are all good quality not cheap flimsy plastic or stuff that feels like it would not last long. I’ve seen various budget home gyms where the manufacturer obviously went cheap and the end result is very lacking. This home gym kit is a great buy considering the price. Its not as refined as the much more expensive setups but then they cost quite a bit more. Pros - wide variety of exercises to choose from the frame is strong and should hold up well over time the pulley system is wrapped steel cable using mid weight pulleys the weights included are filled plastic but are thick plastic the included hardware and accessories are all good quality not low end cheap stuff (Bolts, washers, nuts, exercise attachments) squat lift bar feels pretty smooth and is a nice inclusion to this kit nice variety of exercise attachments (rope, chain, several size bars, rowing bar, etc.) Cons- diagrams are good but instructions could be better assembly hardware packaged numerically but tools included were not, could have been better labelled it would be challenging for one person to assemble due to weight of frame pieces seat is not adjustable for taller/shorter people butterfly exercise padding may or may not help because seat is not adjustable Leg press foot is kinda weird could be better designed and include skid tape exercise attachments do not come with quick release clips, comes with screw quick links for chain seat mounts were bent slightly in shipping but was still able to mount seats pulley system is a little clunky but still feels really sturdy, may smooth out over time Typically you can either spend a lot more for a more refined big name brand or go budget and risk wasting money on a disappointing kit. This feels like a surprisingly good quality budget kit. Room for improvement but not disappointing either. I recommend planning the assembly since it took me an afternoon to unbox everything, carry it down to my basement, and lay it out. Then after a few days it took me and my wife several hours to assemble following the instructions. I would not recommend trying to do it all in one day unless you have several helpers. FYI I’m 6’ and not thin (230lbs) and I can hop grab the pull up bar and the frame doesn’t feel like I’m risking the whole thing tipping over even on rubber mat over carpet.

Well, decent just went to really good deal after hearing from the sales team and manufacturer. They assisted in helping me with the issue. So far I’ve been using the machine without issue. Is it perfect for home use? It’s pretty good. Don’t expect it to feel like it’s professional gym quality because it’s not that, nor is it supposed to be. Will you get a great workout in and not have to pay a gym membership? Absolutely! Older Review: It’s a decent product for a home gym at this price point. The challenge is have is that the cord connecting to the weight stack is about 2 inches short so it makes it hard to adjust the weights. That's the biggest flaw. The other issue is the directions and the labels. This comes in several boxes and while the directions are pretty thorough it would be better if they labeled all of the pieces and not just the big ones. It's pretty big so make sure you have some room. You’re going to need about 15 ft in length, 7 ft in width and it's just over 7ft tall. It literally takes up over half of my 3rd car garage bay. Hopefully this company can send me a longer cord or a fix for this issue I mentioned. It gets worse I'd you add the attachments on the chains. If that was fixed I'd give this 4.5-5 stars for price point and 4.5 stars for function.

It's a good machine for 'home grade.' One of my biggest complaints is the foot pads on the leg press. The workout feels lackluster, like it’s not really providing any benefit to my legs, even when I increase the weights. When I use the term 'home grade,' I mean that the wire tension gives it a cheap, non-gym-quality feel. The Smith machine part is good, except the release hook for the bar can sometimes be difficult to place back properly, which could be an issue with heavy weights. Bottom line: it’s a good starter gym for home use, but I wouldn’t recommend paying more than $800 for it. I got it on sale with a coupon at that price. The setup took me 8 hours to complete. I used the video on YouTube as well as the instruction manual. I also used a ratchet setup. There will be one part where you’ll need at least two or three people. It’s when setting up the top part before the pull-up bar. Two people had to hold the bars in place while I screwed in the screws.

After months of debating, I finally invested in the SunHome Multifunction Home Gym, and it’s been a game-changer for my fitness routine. The setup includes everything I need for a full-body workout, cable system, leg press, pull-up bar, all in one compact unit. Assembly took a few hours, but the instructions were clear. Once set up, it feels sturdy and professional. The weight stacks glide smoothly, and the build quality is solid — no wobbling or cheap parts. What I love most is the versatility. I can do strength training, bodyweight workouts, and even functional movements without switching equipment. My items arrived on time and was well package. I needed a replacement item after set up, and the seller promptly sent it to me via FedEx without any issue; excellent customer service. Overall, if you're serious about working out at home and want a reliable, all-in-one setup, I will HIGHLY recommend the SunHome Multifunction Home Gym

This year, my wife and I decided to start a focused fitness journey. However, going to the gym is not particularly ideal given our work schedules. So, we decided to look around for our own home gym. We looked at a number of different options before settling on this particular brand of Smith machine: SunHome. The machine itself was delivered in six separate boxes that were (luckily) all delivered the same day. From the outset, construction of the machine felt daunting. It took me somewhere between 5-6 hours to fully assemble it. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, although I would recommend that the manufacturer label the parts in the future to make finding the correct part a little easier. Other than that, everything assembled with ease. We did not encounter any misaligned holes or any thread issues. And the machine is very sturdy. This isn't cheap material. My forehead is well-aware. We were missing a few parts upon reaching final assembly. Fortunately, there was an email address in the instruction manual to contact for issues such as this. Their response was prompt, and not only did they ship me the replacement parts but sent extra just in case. All at no charge. So it's a little difficult to be upset about it. More customer service needs to be at that level, which is why I'll give this machine 5-stars.
