do these have attached lens covers on both ends?

No, the lens covers aren't attached.

Do they come with a carrying bag?

Yes. This model includes the following: Neck Strap Carrying Case Shoulder Strap (for carrying case Lens Cloth Objective covers Eyepiece cover

When the "auto focus" is set correctly, do stars appear as clean points of light? In other words, is the focus at infinity sharp?

In my opinion they are mid range quality optics. Well worth the price. But if you want perfection you'll need to spend more. My opinion.

Not cheap, but worth the money

I bought these after borrowing a pair for a few moments from a friend. They are so clear and easy to use with brilliant magnification and fit to you eye, without pushing the lashes. easy to focus as well, much better than my cheaper pair, but sometimes in life you get what you pay for
