I have been using Watco and Minwax satin lacquer for years with mostly good results. I recently decided to try the Mohawk lacquer to see if there was anything better. After using it on my last two projects, I have to say I had better results than with either Watco or Minwax. I'll follow-up if I encounter any change, but for now, the Mohawk lacquer is the best I've used yet.

My new favorite lacquer for projects! Haven't had near the blush compared to Watco

I have decided it does provide a nice finish but I really wish the spray tip was better...For the price it should DEFINATELY be a better tip. Changed to 4 stars from 2.

Mohawk / Behlen Products - especially their lacquers are professional grade, consistent quality you can trust and professional customer service if you need to talk to them for some help or guidance - they stand behind their products like no other company - I only wish that their product labels would contain more instructive information - rather than 75% warnings and of course - print so small because it has to be in several languages - no room for better use instructions - that's why you must have excellent customer service support as they do..

I use Mohawk supplies for my furniture restoration/refinishing. The last cans of lacquer spray I got dripped while using it. I didn't have a brush at hand (my fault) so by the time I was able to wipe them down (30 seconds or so) they solidified (it's quick-drying yay!). It wouldn't lightly sand out either, so I had to hand sand the veneer down again all the way through two coats of oils & shellac. I began all over again. Perhaps someone from the company can tell me what I did wrong or was it the spray. Yes, I tested the can before applying & it sprayed perfectly. It just began dripping mid-work across a MCM cabinet. So sad.
