what is allulose?

Allulose is a natural sweetener found in small amounts in figs and dates. Its our preferred sweetener because it doesn't have any weird aftertaste (like stevia or monkfruit) and it doesn't have any cooling sensation (like erythritol). It tastes just like sugar and bakes like sugar and still has no impact on your blood sugar.

What should be the temperature and time for baking the mug cake in oven?

Accepted Answer

The oven directions are listed on the back of the pouches and we recommend 25-30 mins at 350F. This can depend on what you put it in (ramekin, coffee mug, etc.) as well as your individual oven and the elevation. So use a toothpick to start checking it around 20mins to make sure it's done but not "overbaked".

Let us know what you think and how they turn out! We love them in the oven but I'm impatient, so usually they go in the microwave.

Where is the allulose listed on the nutrition facts label, I don’t see it just only in the ingredient section.

Accepted Answer

Allulose is not listed on its own line like Sugar Alcohols are because of how the FDA classifies it. The FDA does require it to be included in the total carbohydrate line even though it's not metabolized by your body. All our products include a call-out on the back to help explain how to calculate the net carbs.
