Typically great quality product from Tiptree
Typically great quality product from Tiptree. It's not readily available in the shops and I was longing for a nostalgic taste of my childhood. Wasn't disappointed.

A member of the plum family with a distinctive flavour.
I love this greengage on toast. Slightly sharper than plum.

Perfect!
I brought this as a surprise for my mum. She has spent ages looking for it when shopping and disappointly advised me that it must be out of season. Imagine her surprise when I presented her with this jar of conserve. Thank you, it's made a great gift.

Worth trying
This was a good conserve. It is a bit expensive, but it was worth trying.

J'adore cette marque, je ne mange pas souvent de confiture mais j'ai un penchant pour les anglaises. Attention au taux de sucre assez important (peut-รชtre plus que dans certaines en grandes surfaces).

whoops
It did not look like greengage jam or even taste like it .They should relabel it multi berry jam

The Ultimate in Preserves
You gotta be nuts to pay this kind of money for a jar of preserves, so call me crazy. I always bring back a few jars of greengage from my trips to the UK, even shunning distinguished things like Fortnum and Mason marmalade because of limited room in my baggage and greengage rules supreme. I'm always downcast when I've finished off the last one. It's actually not available everywhere in the UK, and I've found no place in the US that has it, so ordering it on Amazon is my only option; but it's a small luxury I allow myself and it's worth it. Update 12/15/17 When I bought this, it was $12.45, which included S&H. Pricey, but worth it. It's now shot up to around $20. Now it's not worth it. I might buy more in the future if they get the price down to something realistic, but at $20 I'm going to pass on it.

Deliciously tart yet sweet.
Greengage jam is something I had as a child growing up in England. I had not seen it until I stumbled across it on Amazon and knowing it was made by Wilkins and son that it would be good. And it is, slightly tart yet sweet with small pieces of the fruit. Delicious on buttered rustic seed bread.
