What is the difference between the pro 1000 sealed and the pro 1000 ported

Actually the sealed doesn't "stop" at 20hz, it begins something called "roll off" at 19hz which in a gradual decrease in volume at the end of a speakers frequency range. This happens so the subwoofer can integrate with the speakers more smoothly. Also, humans cannot hear below 20hz, many can't hear below 25hz. So any frequency below this is going to be more of a physical sensation than one you can hear.
